Question: What size is the canvas? 11x14, 8x10 or bigger? The entire drawing is pretty big. It measures aproximately 19" x 22" which is much larger than most of my drawings. To show the entire drawing I have to scan the drawing 6 times and stitch the pieces together. Here is the next update. In this scan is season 5 Buffy portrait section featuring "The Gift". as always constructive comments and criticisms are welcomed and appreciated...so Please Buffy fans let me know what you think (good or bad)

OMG! How good does Gift Buffy look? seriously, she looks, contented, at peace, done! This is going to be so awesome when completed. ;D I cannot get over the detail on Buffy's top and trousers!

I totally second Vick's thoughts on all counts. Absolutely wonderful. The depth of feeling is so evident here. And I just re-watched the Season 6 opener, where Buffy tells Spike how she felt "at peace".. you've captured it perfectly!

I really appreciate all of the comments! They mean a lot to me and have really inspired me along with this drawing. Here is an update scan of the whole drawing so far. The next portrait is "Grave" Buffy which I am in the process of reworking...I just hope that this one portrait doesn't mess the whole drawing up...If it does I am not sure what I will do everyone keep your fingers crossed ;D

These two new additions are just gorgeous!
Restless Buffy looks so lovely. The likeness is spot on. You captured the look and emotion of both moments. The layering and shading are subtle and delicate.
What are you concerned about with Grave Buffy? Is it the likeness? Right now I think she looks a bit more like Anya than Buffy.

Yes it is the likeness of "Grave" Buffy that is bothering me plus the total blandness of the portrait itself. It is the least favorite of all the portraits for me. I tried to get the buyer to let me use OMWAF Buffy with the red top and pool stick for season 6 but she really wanted "Grave" instead. I understand "Grave" fits the theme better but unfortunately "Grave" to me was Willow's tour de Force and not Buffy's. for me Buffy looked Bland and quite plain throughout the whole episode. I am determined to make the "Grave" portrait work and I am confident that I will be able to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear...LOL I never noticed before; But Maria, you are right... the "Grave" sketch as it is now, does indeed resemble Anya more than Buffy...LMAO Not to worry "Grave" will be Buffyfied real soon! ;D

Have you thought of having some of Willow's lightning bolts going by her? That would say "Grave" and still be about Buffy. Just a thought. I think if you look at the overall composition of the picture. Grave Buffy will still just be a shadow behind the magnificent centerpiece of Chosen Buffy and her red scythe. The composition of the whole piece is just brilliant. The colors look beautiful together and blend really well. I'm so excited to see it as the rest unfolds! ;D

Here is the revised sketch of the "Grave" Buffy portrait. I have decided to go with a suggestion given to me by Shaz (Msperoxideluv). I am depicting Buffy from the moment where she tells Dawn "I don't want to protect you from the world...I want to show it to you". The buyer and I have decided that this is the pivotal scene in the episode (other than the Yellow crayon Xander/ willow scene) because it is when Buffy decides that she wants to live. When finished I will also include a small subtle tear still not sure of the immediate background the drawing itself will dictate how it blends in...LOL Personally I like this revised look better than what I had originally...but I want to know what you think. Thanks again everyone for the suggestions and special Hugs for Shaz for once again being an awesome source of inspiration ;D

Kent, she looks really cute! Very "happy Buffy." I love that you captured a moment like that. The likeness is really great.
