This thread is dedicated to the In Progress Art and as new art is developed you will see the in progress pictures here. Once the drawing is done a link to the gallery will be added with the info that the latest piece is finished.
It has been 7 months since I have done a drawing (due to an Artist's Block and my seasonal work schedule).
Recently I have been re-inspired to pick up my sketch pad again and before I get back to finishing some way over due commissions, I thought I'd better get a little practice in.
Here is an *In Progress* Look at my practice drawing
The Drawing is of Brandon Routh as Superman from "Superman Returns"
This picture shows the initial unrefined line drawing and is the first step in doing the drawing.
Constructive criticisms are always welcome so...
Please let me know what you think
Here is an *In Progress* scan of my next Drawing.
The drawing is of Christopher Reeve as Superman. The drawing is in the beginning stages outline sketch. The drawing has a way to go but I think you can see the basic idea.
As always I encourage and welcome constructive criticism. It is your feedback that helps me to improve so Please let me know what you think.
Many Thanks to KAL-EL and Girl Power for inspiring this Drawing
Next in my series of Superman drawings is Tom Welling from the series "Smallville". This is the *In progress* scan of the drawing. when finished the drawing will also have Erica Durance as Lois Lane and Kristen Kreuk as Lana Lang in the background. As always constructive criticisms and comments are welcome and appreciated...so Please let me know what you think.
Many Thanks to KAL-EL and Captainperoxideluv for the input and inspiration
Next up on my drawing pad is Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn from the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.
This Drawing is a long over due commission. Jess (Jsebold87) Commissioned this drawing Last Year, and I am Happy to finally be able to work on the drawing
As always constructive criticisms are alway welcomed and appreciated, so Please let me know what you think
*Note* The "rust Color" does not appear in the drawing, The background paper color is a brown grey and when scanned, the scanner can not read the paper color without any other colors to compare it to, so what the scanner does read from the background paper shows up as a rust color (including the pencil lines)
Inspired by the TV series "Heroes" This Drawing is of the "power absorbing" Hero; Peter Petrelli portrayed by Milo Ventimiglia.
I am not sure how this drawing will develop, but this is the first look at the drawing.
As always constructive criticisms are welcomed and appreciated...so Please let me know what you think
Thanks To Shondrasu for the Inspiration
The next project that I am working on is a commission drawing for Sammie.
The Drawing is of Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger (Rupert Grint and Emma Watson) from the "Harry Potter" series of movies.
As always constructive comments and criticisms are welcomed and appreciated...so Please let me know what you think.
Next drawing on my drawing board is a commission for Lior Knight.
This drawing is of Kristen Bell as Veronica Mars.
This is the rough line sketch of the drawing. The drawing is drawn on a stone brown paper (my scanner won't show the color until I add color to the portrait.
As always constructive comments and criticisms are always welcomed and appreciated...so please let me know what you think ;D
Here is the first look at my new drawing.
The Drawing features portraits of Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles as Sam and Dean from "Supernatural".
When finished; 11" x 17" signed prints of this drawing will be featured as part of the prizes in the TViLike Finale Contest.
This is the beginning line sketch which shows the layout of the characters. I am planning on using Dark colors in the drawing, so I have added Highlights to establish the direction of light.
As always constructive comments and criticisms are always welcomed and appreciated; So Please let me know what you think ;D
Here is the first look at the "Heroes" Claire Bennet drawing
This is the second in my "Heroes" series of drawings
In this first scan is the basic line drawing with white highlights to show depth and shadow.
This is only half of the drawing. The other half (In the same style as the Peter Petrelli drawing) will feature Isaac's painting of Claire walking through fire.
When finished; a signed print of the "Heroes" Claire Bennet drawing will be one of the featured prizes in the TViLike Finale Countdown Contest).
As always constructive comments and critisicms are always welcomed so please let me know what you think ;D
Since I to put the Wonder Woman drawing on hold for a while, I thought that I might spice up my portfolio with a little Beefcake.
So the next drawing to come across my drawing board is...
Josh Holloway as Sawyer from "LOST"
Here is the basic line sketch. As you can see it is very rough but I think that you can get the feel of the drawing.
This drawing posed a unique challenge...
My reference Photo has Sawyer wearing a flowing shirt...I decided to to take the shirt off and draw Sawyer shirtless. ;D
As always constructive comments and criticisms are always welcomed and appreciated so Please let me know what you think ;D
Please note that the paper that the drawing is on does not fade that way... since the drawing is 11" x 14" (like most of my drawings)
I had to do the scan in two parts and stitch them together.
for some reason the bottom half of the drawing scanned lighter than the top. The paper is actually the color of the top half.
as I add color and details the paper color will even out...scanners are funny that way
Here is the first look at my next drawing.
This drawing was commissioned by Insanity and features Chris Evan as Johnny Storm from "The Fantastic Four" movies
As always constructive comment and critisisms are always welcomed and appreciated so Please let me know what you think ;D
Here is a practice drawing that I am working on.
This drawing features James Marsters as Spike.
I wasn't totally pleased with the previous Spike drawing that I did a couple of Years ago and I wanted to do a better representation of Spike for my BTVS series of drawings.
As always constructive comments and criticisms are welcomed and appreciated...so Please let me know what you think ;D
Here is a first look at my next drawing.
This drawing is a commission and will feature SMG as Buffy.
This will also be my most ambitious drawing to date. when finished this drawing will showcase 7 portraits of Buffy from the seven season finales of BTVS.
In this scan is Buffy from the episode "Chosen" (season 7)
this will be the largest of the 7 portraits and be the center piece of the drawing.
as you can see the line sketch is very rough and needs a lot of refining (which will be done as the other season portraits are sketched in)
The drawing is larger than my usual drawings so I will only be able to show the different season portrait scans separately until the entire line sketch is finished and I can stitch the various parts together
As always constructive comments and criticisms are welcomed and appreciated...so Please as most of you are fellow Buffy fans, Please let me know what you think (good or Bad) ;D
After a brief break; I have resumed working on the 7 Seasons drawing.
Here is the latest update... I have added the remaining seasons Portraits and have cleaned up the line drawing and added white highlights.
At this stage the drawing is still very rough and some refinements still need to be done on a few of the portrait likenesses, but this is the final layout of all of the portraits for the drawing.
As always constructive comments and criticisms are welcomed and appreciated...So fellow Buffy fans Please let me know what you think (good or bad) ;D
