Trading cards based on various TV shows are getting more common. By Inkworks, Topps etc. And I know some of you must collect some of them So, which lines do you all collect? Any master sets amongst them? Want to post box breakdowns? Thought this may be an interesting discussion. Currently, the only shows that I'm collecting are Firefly and Angel. Nowhere near a master set with either. Only bought one box of Firefly, and one of Angel S5. Bought mainly for the autograph cards, but all the other cards are quite cool too, and interesting reads. A nice summary of the season.

Veronica Mars Season 1 (Box 2) A9 - Max Greenfield PW6 - Lilly's Prom Dress BL1 - Veronica + Duncan R3 - Keith R6 - Weevil W1 - Lilly W3 - Weevil W4 - Duncan W8 - Aaron Echolls
I've got a Veronica Mars Season 2 box on order and I'm currently trying to get a Lost Season 1 box at a decent price(jumped on the bandwagon a little too late for that one). I did pick up four packs of Lost season 2 last night and pulled Mr. Eko's Shirt pieceworks ;D I just wish this hobby was a little less expensive. LOL

Wow, that is a lot indeed... My breakdowns, since I never posted: Angel S5:A35 (David Fury as 'Gregor Framkin') PW5 (Gunn’s Shirt) BC5, BC6, BC7 LD3 (Bought this box the old fashioned way, gradually buying the entire 36 packs from a store. Resulted in a lack of a box loader, though.) Firefly:AR-1 (Nathan Fillion as 'Mal' redemption) A1 F1, F8, F9 B4, B5 BL2 Serenity box on it's way. Hoping for a Summer Glau auto ;D Also started buying the X2: X-Men United cards from Topps, though not a TV show. Nevertheless, bought 7 packs from a store and pulled the Colossus auto. Quite pleased.

Yeah, it's a pretty decent little set. Funny thing is I don't even watch Supernatural(...yet. Picking up the DVDs soon!), I just bought a box hoping to score either an Amy Acker auto card, Piecworks or her Autographed Pieceworks. Obviously, no such luck. But I'm still tempted to buy another box and try my luck again.
Ebay has the boxes for around $60 BIN from various sellers and that's a decent price. I'd snatch one up quick because I have a feeling this set will become pretty sought after. The autograph lineup is pretty good for a first season, and the two autographed pieceworks are Amy Acker and Julie Benz which means you'll have Buffy/Angel fans wanting them as well as fans of just Supernatural.

I don't think so. Pretty much each card is just a brief description of the scene on the card. Here's the Inkworks page if you want to take a look. inkworks.com/products/supernatural/season1/supernat1newprod1.htmlSerenity box on it's way. Hoping for a Summer Glau auto ;D That's the one I wanted since I didn't have her autograph at all on anything. But Jewel's not too bad so no complaints ;D Fingers crossed you pull one though! Also started buying the X2: X-Men United cards from Topps, though not a TV show. Nevertheless, bought 7 packs from a store and pulled the Colossus auto. Quite pleased. I bought a box of X2 cards back when they first came out. If I remember right, I got a Bruce Davison auto and the Lady Deathstrike costume card. The costume card was cool, but I remember being really disappointed in the auto since it was friggin' Senator Kelly, LOL. But I look back now and it's not so bad since Bruce was in one of my favorite Dan Aykroyd movies, Spies Like Us.

Appears my Serenity box had arrived, but just kept until today to open, by the parents. Weird... Anyway, here's the breakdown, which I'm happy with, to say the least Serenity:A7 (Summer Glau as 'River') ;D PW5 (Kaylee's shirt) BL3 WS2, WS3 R9 (x2), R7, R2 I bought a box of X2 cards back when they first came out. Oh, the X-Men costume cards sound cool, (especially Lady Deathstrike, best of the lot IMO) but I hate the lack of any guarantee to get one in a box. They're supposed to take up 3 regular cards, are they really that thick? Sorry to hear about the autograph, Senator Kelly was a pretty dull character, and BD was possibly one of the least anticipated autos of the lot. But still, a lot better than the majority of ones for X3. (And a number from the first movie.) There are a feck load of autos in the X3 set, and some of them really don't even get that high on ebay etc. There were a few in the UK that didn't sell for more than 50p each. I much prefer the X2 set in terms of autos, for that matter.

Woo hoo! Congrats on the auto pull ;D Pieceworks isn't too bad, either. Did you get a nice section of fabric with a design on it or a solid color? Oh, the X-Men costume cards sound cool, (especially Lady Deathstrike, best of the lot IMO) but I hate the lack of any guarantee to get one in a box. They're supposed to take up 3 regular cards, are they really that thick? Yeah, they're pretty thick since they're leather. To be honest, I'm really surprised they even put them in packs and didn't do a redemption. Inkworks uses a redemption card for anything too thick, I guess so they don't have to cut down on the number of cards per pack.

I started off with Merlin sticker collecting when I was 4/5, my first album was He-Man, completed it and I still have it around somewhere! I got into card collection when I was about 12 my first set being the Batman Return ones and then when I was 16/17 the Topps Star Wars ones. I had a huge break then until Jenny (aka prohecygirl from the BTVSFigs Forum) got me into it again. I now have: Buffy Season 1 - all the chases etc plus DB's auto Buffy Season 2 - minus autos Buffy Season 3 - minus autos Buffy Photocards - complete Master set Buffy Reflections - minus Giles and Faith auto Buffy Season 4 - minus autos Buffy Season 5 - minus autos Buffy Season 6 - minus autos and PW3 Buffy Season 7 - minus autos Buffy Big Bads - just missing PW2 Buffy Evolution - Master set Buffy Connections - minus PW1 Spike/Buffy top/top Buffy IKON Story So Far - Master set Buffy IKON Story Continues - Master set Buffy Ultimate aka Coffin Collection - Master set Buffy Memories - Master set including 4 inkplates and retailer incentive PWs Buffy Women of Sunnydale - Master set Buffy Men of Sunnydale - Master set Angel Season 1 - full chase etc with DB and JM autos only Angel Season 2 - minus autos Angel Season 3 - minus autos Angel Season 4 - minus autos Angel Season 5 - minus autos Spike: The Complete Story - just missing auto'd Angel duster PW. Supernatural Season 1 - Master set including all autos, PW, auto'd PWs and retailer incentive PWs. Sheesh, that is a lot of money on cards, darn you Jenny!

I can't remember the top in the movie so I wasn't aware there would be patterned variants. Ah well, I'm still happy with it! And wow, Madvicks, that is a lot of moneys worth indeed!

Was just talking with Eva about this and I thought I'd see what everyones experience has been finding the Autograph and Pieceworks cards. Every box I've bought, the autograph and pieceworks cards have been toward the very back of the box. I've never paid attention to how many packs from the back until recently.
There's a new collectibles store that just opened up here that sells Inkworks cards. They had new boxes of Lost season 2 and Lost Revelations out, so I thought this would be a perfect chance to try and figure out the insertion pattern for the auto and pieceworks packs.
The first night I bought four Lost Season 2 packs. I counted six packs from the back of each row, and then pulled the two packs in front of those. Out of those four, I pulled a Mr. Eko Pieceworks card. The next time I went in, I counted four packs from the back of each row and grabbed the three packs in front and pulled a Monica Dean Autograph card.
Pretty much the same thing with the Revelations box. Tonight I counted five packs from the back of each row, took the three packs in front and pulled an M.C. Gainey auto card. So it's looking like the jackpot packs are at least somewhere between 5-10 packs from the back of the box.
Has anyone else paid attention to where their Autograph and Pieceworks packs were located in the box?

My autograph was about thrid pack from the back on the right hand side of the box, when facing it (Serenity) The Pieceworks was about mid way through the left side.
My Firefly auto was 12th pack through the left side section, so seventh from the back.
I bought the Angel S5 ones randomly, so I can't remember where the auto was, but one of the very last packs I bought, which contained the piecework, was again at the very back of the right hand side.
So yes, I'll be buying from the back in future, hehe.

I can remember either, it's been so long too. Initially, I was buying 3-4 series at a time to catch up so I would grab one pack of each series at a time. On my first trys, I ended up with a Angel season 3 and Witchblade auto and a Smallville season 1 and Alias season 1 piecework.
I'll be heading out to the store tonight to test this methond.
