Pardon my French, but that Stake Propworks card is absolute bullshit. why? i thought it was a good idea, but unless you are a lucky little sod or you can afford to buy about 8 cases, then have fun tracking one of these babies down ! lol

Not even a Joss auto? On the anniversary set? Wow.
Ratios for these cards are way too much... I know they're trying to make it different and all, but geez.
I'm not a fan of 'the' stake either. Which stake exactly? Used when? I heard and thought that they were all rubber on the actual show anyway?
Meh, passing. Was this confirmed as the last Buffy set from Inkworks?
But yay for Season 8.

You know this set really annoys me, yes there are some nice ideas but the ratios are crap and this is making the set elitist, those who have the cash can collect those who don't cannot. Trading cards should be accessible to all collectors.
I collared Allan at Manchester last year and had a bitch and moan about the Memories set. Allan's advice to me was to trade with people. I told him trading is not possible. We then moved onto inkplates from the Memories set and I said that if you cannot guarantee every case gets one why bother and he said just trade those too. My mother then pointed out that an inkplate was right behind him on one of his favourite buyers stands for £500. Allan gave no comment.
I also sent an email to Inkworks outlining Allan's arguments from the show and my response to them. I never heard back apart from "I'll pass these on to Allan".
All these ratios and card sets do is make sure than dealers have to buy more cards from Inkworks, who in turn get more money.
Gone are the days where we can actually trade cards....
So, in the spirit of Uncle Allan I am offering for trade a WOS DST1 promo card, in exchange I'd like the Buffy Angel autograph please. Fair swap, Uncle Allan told me all these cards have the same value after all!

Shep..... There are LOTS of card sets. The company that produces the main sets are "Inkworks". They released a set for each of the 7 Season, as well as many others. www.inkworks.comCheck their site and go to the products page at the top. They list all the card sets they have released to date etc. LMK for any more questions

I haven't had any luck when it comes to Buffy and inserts and with the new ratios, I know that I will have less of any chances for something that is a non-base set card.
It's too costly for me to continue to buy pack after pack hunting for an insert. I just buy completed base sets now and be happy with that.

ESC: I agree with you all the way! With these new ratios and less chance of pulling the "good" cards, this is getting harder to collect. I have some inserts but it sucks so much when the release special exclusives that require you to buy something like a case or two. Still if you buy a case, then you have LOADS of base sets to be sold or given away. Plus there is a chance of not pulling the rarer cards, so there goes the confidence again..... Still, I would buy a box or two of the release, or even some packs so you can get a feel for the set... Oh forgot, here is a link to my site that has all of my costume and autos from the Inkworks sets that I collect... take a look chrbyr.freehostia.com/index.html

[Slightly random, but the talk of base sets...]
I hate ending up with duplicated base sets. It's good that you can, on average, get 2 per box, but when you only need one, it sucks that they sell for peanuts. I'm starting to amass quite a few extra base sets that I haven't bothered selling yet, purely because it's too much hassle wrapping them up and sending them for the money you get.
I imagine a case would be a bitch for that too.
I like it when boxes can be guaranteed at least one auto and/or pieceworks per box though, you're content with knowing that you're going to get something good for your money, and it's still fun that you don't know what you're getting until you find them. I hated Angel S1, bought a few boxes and got crap all. I guess the same goes for the other earlier sets too.
In other news, broke two boxes of Lost S2 recently. Got the following:
Box 1: A21 (Josh Randall as 'Nathan') PW8 (Eko's Shirt) ?4, ?5, ?6, ?7 B3, B4 BL3
Box 2: A24 (Sonya Walger as 'Penny') PW7 (Charlie's T-Shirt) ?4, ?5, ?6 [Again] B3, B4 [Again] BL3 [Again...]

That sucks about the duplicates... I'm sure that you will be able to find someone to trade with you Yeah, that is one of the many things that would ever put me off buying a case. LOTS of sets of everything left over, and ebay floods within a week, so there is no chance of selling right away...

The first and only case I had was a Memories one, the case was as crap as you could get, I had 2 or 3 of 4 PWs it was stupid, only made 1 six card and 1 nine card chase, and only 1 set of boxloaders, all the others were bloody Faith!
Luckily a card dealer I know had all my spares off me for £150 credit in his store. I sold 3 bases on eBay prior to the trade for £2.99 (might have been £2) and a couple of PWs.
Is there no one you can trade in with for credit?

WOW Vicks that sucked big time! I wish I could afford a case, even of older products! Still, all good things come to those who wait I don't have a dealer near me. That is nice that he bought all of them off of you. So, did you manage to get some of the rarer ones from your case though? That would have deffinetly put me off of buying a case after that, lol!

I had 4 regular PWs missing, no Andrew variant PW redemption, no inkplate. It was a real bust of a case and has put me off big time!
