ShazI'm sure the kids love you as you make science fun.. which to me is the key! ;DAnother Brit food question: What's gammon and chips with pineapple rings? Is it fish and chips? Gammon is a cut of pork, its the equivalent of steak from a cow I suppose. Usually you eat gammon with fried eggs and/or pineapple also size wise it comes in the 4/6/8 ounze varieties. I don't like eggs so just have the pineapple.
Ok now, it makes sense to me. In US speak, its Ham Steak with pineapple!
Fish and chips is fish and chips or cod and chips. Unless otherwise noted at the chippie (chip shop) the fish in the "fish and chips" should be white and it should be cod. Yes, I loved Fish and Chips when in the UK.. with lots of Malt vinegar! And all the flavors of crisps too .. prawn cocktail, roast beef, etc..Even though, I haven't commented on all I (esp. that Babs remark!!), I have loved all your very honest answers. It's been nice to get to know you better (and I've also learned more brilliant Brit slang)! Thanks. Each to their own, you like Barbara, I respect that, you know I don't like her. We can disagree. Heck we have enough men in common we like! ;D I call it how I see it, to me a spade is a spade. (Spade being a large gardening shovel in case there is a cultural loss).I'm just kidding on the Babs thing. I'm glad we don't have everything in common- cause that would be too bizarre.. insert Twilight Zone theme here Re: My random Adrian Mole question- one of my Brit friends turned me onto Adrian Mole and I thought it was hilarious (at least the first one). I'll put it on my reading list. I grew up with the TV show and it didn't appeal to me as a show, so reading the book seemed pointless. I didn't know there was a TV show!! But, I guess I could see how it would translate for TV. It was a quick read and again I thought very amusing. Lots of mentions of "spotted dick" -which I know is a dessert, but still makes me laugh to say hear it.
Do you like Spotted Dick?

Yep, that was it!

Depends if I fancy it upon seeing it, it isn't a favourite and we don't have it very often. I am not really a dessert person.
As the old joke goes: "We have spotted Dick." "Don't worry, penicillin will clear it up."

1. If you could have one wish for (not for yourself, or for more wishes)... what would it be? 2. What is the way you do not want to die?

1. If you could have one wish for (not for yourself, or for more wishes)... what would it be?
Lets cure all diseases (AIDS, Cancer etc)
2. What is the way you do not want to die?
Don't particularly want to go in pain and definitely not buried alive. I have always had this fear of being buried in a coffin and not being dead. In fact, when I write my will I am going to arrange to be left in state to ensure I am dead and then buried with a mobile phone, a shovel and a torch, just in case.

Who do you think Gibbs' redhead is?
Who is better at using computers, Abbey or McGee?
What is your favorite flower?
Where do you sing most often?

Gerry
Who do you think Gibbs' redhead is?
Hmmm.... Well, could be a girlfriend, but he only ever kisses her on the cheek (from what we have seen up to the end of S3 so far). Girlfriend or friend.
Who is better at using computers, Abbey or McGee?
Abbey! No question. Though they are both better together as they bounce off each other.
What is your favorite flower?
Probably an orange or lilac tiger lily.
Where do you sing most often?
The car.

What would be the biggest amount you are willing to spend in one go (say a charity auction for date with Jensen )? 5. Which TV character can you most relater to and why?

1. What are your deepest fears? Spiders, snakes, and being unloved and alone. 2. How big is your family (relatives included)? Me, mom, dad, mom has 3 sisters but we don't speak to that side of the family as the one accused mom of being a witch. Dad has two sisters too. A few are local, others are spread out. I have a few cousins knocking around England somewhere, only Paul is local. But, most of the family is dead... No grandparents, some aunts and uncles are gone too.3. Was you family living in Britain for as long as you can remember or did your family origins started elsewhere? All good Anglo-Saxon stock. ;D4. What would be the biggest amount you are willing to spend in one go (say a charity auction for date with Jensen )? Well, if I knew in advance I'd take all my credit cards for a charity auction with Jensen and max them all out and take mom and hers to use too. So we'd be talking £9500 off my cards and another £1200 off mom's.
The most I was prepared to spend in one go was my car, bought it outright in cash from my savings, no HP at all. Never seen that much cash in one go. Paid £1500 deposit and then the remaining £6000 on collection.
In one go for collectibles, probably £150-250 depending on what exactly it is. 5. Which TV character can you most relate to and why? Probably Abbie from NCIS, we both stand out from the crowd, don't really care what people think in so much as doing our own thing, plus we work our hardest.
