The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkein. I haven't read this since I was in 4th grade, it's really nice to be able to read it again. I'm such a big fan of his books -Jess

Just finished some Wilbur Smith novels, bit wordy and not really my type of author. BUT, Graham Masterton's new book Chaos Theory has arrived, I am on Chapter 3 and am already hooked. Cannot read fast enough!

Sign of the Cross by Chris Kuzneski
It is in the style really of The Da Vinci Code, with regard to church conspiracies, but it is really good, definitely recommend it!

I did have a Wilbur Smith one on the go, but man does that guy ramble! ooooo. you must tell me out liseys storys turns out! iv been on a stephen king high this past 2 months or so...I read Desperation (amaze), Geralds Game (another awesome book...gets slow in the middle but it really freaked me out near the end), and Iv nearly finished Bag of Bones which is f**king awesome. And i bought The Stand and Rose Madder for when I go on holiday next week! ;D After those Im gonna give Graham masterton a try as every thread i see mentioning stephen king I always see a post from vicks sayign he writes king off the shelves! haha...so I shall give one of his a go...any particular one you can reccommend vicks?

Heehee... Well Lisey's Story is really kind of slow. A real slog. Desperation and Bag of Bones were excellent. The Stand is great but long (much better than the TV show). As for Graham, well, you can read some of his short stories for free at www.grahammasterton.co.uk/fiction.htmlBooks I'd recommend by Graham: Black Angel, Any of the Night Warriors quartet (Night Warriors, Death Dream, Night Plague, Night Wars), any of the Jim Rook books (Rook, Tooth and Claw, The Terror, Snowman, Swimmer, or Dark Room), Edgewise, The Chosen Child, Innocent Blood, The Manitou series (manitou, Revenge of the Manitou, Burial, Manitou Blood), Descendant, Unspeakable, The Devil in Grey, Prey, Family Portrait, Hell Candidate (can be seen under pen name of Thomas Luke), Wells of Hell, Family Portrait, The House That Jack Built... Just to name a few! LOL!

well im pretty much sorted for the decade bookwise now with all those. haha, thanks for the help. Once Iv finished the lot Iv got Ill def' check these out. I also borrowed 2 books off a friend who raves about the author chuck palanuik, he wrote 'Fight Club' which spawned the awesome film. I said id read one of his books if she read one of kings, so we did a lil nerdy book swap, cos we are cool like that.

oh gosh, bugger that then.
He really cant control himself sometimes can he! Plus i dont think publishers and editors mind so much now cos he is such a big name theyll probably just publish anything of his even if it was about a talking toilet or something. Not that I think hes rubbish now but hes definately lost his original shine. his latest Cell sounded a bit of a sell out...a virus spread over mobile phones. Apparently gonna be made into a film by Eli Roth, director of Cabin Fever/Hostel.
