seriously? I thought this movie was hilariously bad...maybe its cos Iv lived in wales for majority of my life so it went along with ALL the welsh cliches...sheep/ workmen named daffyd/primitive farming houses etc.lol. the bit when the sheep leap over the edge makes me laugh.lol. speaking of...any one seen Black Sheep? now that is hilarious (but its meant to be funny unlike the dark)

V for Vendetta.
I'd heard bad things about it, but I absolutely loved it. It was a cautionary tale about how a government can do something terrible to the populace, blame it on terrorists, and use the ensuing fear to take away people's rights and create a military dictatorship. Considering the events in the US over the last six years, it was very powerful. It also gave hope for a way out, which I liked.
V was played by Hugo Weaving. He sounded just like the voice in Disney's Haunted Mansion, which was quite cool to me.
There were only a few action scenes, so if you want action instead of ideas, you probably won't like it.

Yes I really enjoyed it, and it was a brit film! Not many good british horror/thriller films made, well apart from The Descent and Dog Soilders ;D I just watched Napolean (sp?) Dynamite Quite funny. Not a storyline as such but still funny. Was it supposed to be set in the 80's?

shep you forgot to include severance in your brit horror films list! I love that film...the decapitation bit makes me laugh. I personally own the greatest brit horror film on dvd. Hand of death prt 25. HAHA. it is some completely random 80's film that never really saw the light of day its unbelieveably amateurish and hilarious crap. It really is an abysmal film...so abysmal its good. I got a random copy of it off a friends mum...havent a clue where she got it form cos im pretty sure its never seen an official release. Basically a blind chick falls in love with this phsyco ugly killer guy who has this really posh english accent. The film is kinda like the hideously ugly love child of friday the 13th and Red dragon. The bets part is when they have kinky night time fun...and theres this deformed killer in leather boxers which say bad boy across his ass with a whip and some ranodm blind woman on the bed. Personally I think its the greatest film ever made...

Yes I did forget Severnance. Not really a horror though I think its more comedy ;D I love Danny Dyer he is funny and gorgeous. I love his cockney accent. I will ask my mate if he has heard of it/got it. He is a 70's/80's horror buff
