The Enitity
Dirty Dancing2 : Havanah Nights - I was quite suprised with this film I really enjoyed it. Totally different storyline (but the two main characters fall in love but that is quite obvious from the start). A cameo appearance from Patrick Swayze. When you first meet him he is doing the dance from the first film that he does with Jennifer Gray when they perform at the other Hotel. A wicked soundtrack too!

Dogma, first time I have ever seen it and I laughed almost from start to finish. VIcks, Dogma is one of my all time favorite movies. It's just hilarious, and so poignant, too! I liked Ben Affleck better in that than anything else I've ever seen him in. The last film I saw was Wild Hogs. It was not funny. Well, I think I laughed 2 or 3 times, but overall, it was just movie stereotypes, way too much overacting, and bad writing. Elementary school kids might like it.

Superman Returns
Really not my favourite superhero movie. Though it was far less believable than practically every other DC or even Marvel movie out there. I mean Lois Lane got chucked all over an aeroplane, and gets out without a minor scratch, and to top it off, she then later on has this big old heavy metal door whack her on the top of her head and she doesn't even get a minor bruise let alone her rightful broken neck. I dunno, just didn't like it much, thought there were a lot more 'flaws' than there really should have been.

Rich, the thing that really bugged me about that movie is the fact that so much kryptonite should have killed Superman. Not only did it not, but he managed to carry it out into space. I mean, a whole continent of kryptonite! I don't care if he focused all his will, he would not have been able to carry a continent of that stuff. Just a tiny bit, weakens him so much he can barely move. I know that ended up in a coma, but it still seemed like too much, given what they've shown kryptonite does to him in other movies. I'm also very confused about what powers his kid is supposed to have. He was conceived when Clark had lost his powers, and the movie was enigmatic about the boy's powers, except for the one time).

I liked Ben Affleck better in that than anything else I've ever seen him in. I loved the tongue-in-cheeks pops at Catholicism. Some of the jokes were right there. I have actually considered dropping an anonymous suggestion in the suggestion box that we should watch it at school on a training day. Being an RC school, some of the staff have sticks up their bums big time.
Ben Affleck actually "acted" in it which was amazing. But Matt Damon won me over, I hadn't thought much of him ever, but as Loki, I thought he was really good. I haven't seen any of the Bourne movies yet, so I know he is reputed to be great in those movies I cannot comment.
Going back to Dogma, it is funny (odd not hardeeharhar) that so many movies echo the themes of disgruntled Angels, or Angels being jealous of humans, or being hurt that they have their "wings dipped in blood".
Anyway, I am going to get this on DVD. Is oh, I cannot remember all the title, is it Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back a sequel or something? I loved Silent Bob he was so funny! ;D
