I love this show about the adventures of the Griffin family. Peter and Lois have three kids - the youngest is a brilliant, sadistic baby bent on killing his mother and destroying the world. Their talking dog Brian keeps baby Stewie in check while sipping martinis and sorting through his own life issues. After being cancelled in 2002, an outstanding performance in DVD sales proved its cult value. As a result, the series was added back to the FOX Summer 2005. I freaking love Brian the dog with his martini glass ;D Anybody watch this?

I watched that show religiously until it got cancelled. When it came back it seemed to me to have lost a lot of it's magic.

I don't know. I watched before and after it got canceled and I like it better now. The humor is really aimed for adults and I love all the pop culture references. One thing that bugs me is when they cut to some random scene based on a reference in the dialog. To me, it's just a filler space, like those scenes of Peter fighting with the chicken.

BABY STEWIE!!!!
He's actually quite a bit like the Brain from Pinky and the Brain. He's such a little militaristic world dominator.
I love how he acts like his mother is his captor who is persecuting him.
Did anyone see the one where another baby had been born to a different family, but was just like Stewie? He was the product of Peter donating sperm and someone artificially inseminating it. Stewie and this kid had a war in the playground for domination.
Once they made a reference to some other show, but clearly to this own, with someone saying, "I don't get it. Does the mother understand what the baby is saying?" Because Lois's responses to Stewie are always so ambiguous. You can't tell if she knows what he's saying or not. Brian clearly does, though!
Brian's such a hilarious character. He's so civilized, but still has a compulsion to sniff other dogs' butts, etc. It morifies him.

I love this show as well. It’s still aired in Israel on daily basis so I always get to watch an episode every now and then. I love the more adult humor…it’s much more bold than on usual shows and in many cases just hilarious.
Not to mention the enormous amount of Pop-Culture references. ;D

I've got the Stewie love too! I just started watching some of the episodes in repeats late at night when I was battling with sleep. And they were just so outrageous..world dominator baby Stewie (with such a great vocabulary) and Brian the talking dog. So, forget going back to sleep after that! So, I went out and bought the first 2 seasons on DVD and they have not disapointed! Stewie is just so brilliant. He makes me laugh out loud!

Does anyone have the DVD of Stewie: The Untold Story or something like that? Is it worth getting? I saw it at Target for like $14 and was wondering if I should grab it.

Even though I haven't seen very many episodes (I just started watching Family Guy) I have become quite fond of the show. I love the pop culture references. My favorite episode, of the few that I have seen, Is the one that was based on "Poltergeist". I thought it was hilarious when baby stewie went into the TV and the only way to get him back was to make him go "into the light" and out through Meg's behind...I laughed so hard it hurt.

Does anyone know if they are still making new episodes? Or is it in a continuous re-run loop?
