The highlight of this episode was definitely when Denny Crane was walking through the hall of the courthouse and he said to the cameras, "I used to be the captain of my own spaceship."
LMAO. I love William Shatner. You can tell that he has a ball playing this role.
Denny Crane is one of my all time favorite characters.
I didn't think this finale was nearly as fun as last year's. After all last year Denny said to Shirley, "Aren't we gonna kiss? Come on. It's the season finale. They expect it."
I wished that they told us who the real killer of the boys' dad was. We don't know if the two kids really did it or not. I loved the trick that Denny and Alan played on the court, though they were clearly suborning perjury, and in a very overt and complex way.
I still think that Clarence is really boring. But Hands Espenson is awesome. It was adorable how Hands and Clarence were jumping up and down holding each other for like five minutes after they got the judgment from the casino.
Speaking of the casino, it was pretty fascinating and somewhat disturbing that casinos pump out onto the gambling floor synthetic pheromones structurally similar to the ones that a mother gives off that make her baby feel safe and secure. It's designed to make people feel safe and peaceful as they gamble away money they don't have. If that doesn't make you think twice about gambling, I don't know what will.
David Kelley always shares interesting and little known facts in every episode. That guy is amazing.
