Season 2: Humbug (about Mulder) "Twenty-first century genetic engineering will not only eradicate the siamese twins and the alligator-skinned people, but you're going to be hard-pressed to find, uh, a slight overbite or a not-so-high cheek bone. You see, I've seen the future and the future looks just like him."

I like the X-Files too. It's too bad it kind of fizzled out there towards the end. As much as I like a show, I'd rather see it end with dignity than half-heartedly trudging on. I can still watch the last few seasons, but in my opinion, they don't compare to the first three or four.

I loved this show and just felt that when David Duchovny bowed out that they should have let the show die.
It went from: got to watch every fantastic episode, to cool the X-Files is on, to yeah that's okay TV, to okay I am watching this rubbish out of loyalty.
Doggett just never really filled David's shoes. Shame.
As Shivi said the next day everyone was talking about the episode from the night before.

A while ago I watched all of them in order from beginning to end. Honestly, while I didn't like Doggett and Reyes episodes when they were airing, they were really good the second time around. I think watching on DVD gave me a chance to see the characters for more of what they were rather than trying to place them as replacements, which they would never fit.

I loved the Xfiles and yes, it was Must See TV for a long time. But, it's true when Duchovny left he took alot with him. I didn't hate Doggett, but he was no Mulder!
I just broke down and bought all 9 seasons on DVD!! I'm really looking forward to seeing the old episodes again. And I'm hoping that I'll enjoy the later seasons more than I did at the time. I really loved the Monster of the Week and funny episodes the best! Flukeman, Humbug, Squeeze/Tooms, Clyde Bruckman, Home and the body switch episodes with Michael McKean as Mulder were some of my all time faves. The conspiracy episodes were initially fascinating, but then became way too convoluted for my tastes.

This is my number 1 favorite show of all time! I am still so in love with Mulder and I've always wanted to be Scully. Yes, I am a total nerd. I have all 9 seasons on DVD, but my favorite episodes are those where Mulder is worried about Scully. The angst was awesome! I love the Duane Barry arc.

I love this show I also have all 9 seasons on DVD. Although I haven't watched every episode yet I am watching 2 episodes a day while I work out. I'm sure that it wont be too long to watch the whole series and I am loving every episode. The characters of Mulder and Scully as well as the actors David and Gillian are amazing together and have an amazing chemistry.

You gotta love X-files. This show was before it's time! It really started it all, before Lost and Heroes. X-files was the show to watch and it had a little bit of everything. Sci-Fi,Mystery, Chemistry(mulder and Scully) and Great writing. I miss this show too.

I really, really miss this show. There have been talks about another movie, and David and Gillian both say that they would do it. I would love to see new Mulder and Scully stories!

Season 1 of the X-files is being re-run on Living tv on weekday nites - if anyone is ineterested. yep Iv been watching them.lol....I thought it was every mondy but found it out it was every day...so I missed the 2/3/4/5 episodes but carried on with 6/7 and 8 tonight as I found out it was every night. X files was before my time so its great watching it...I rented out the xfiles dvds from blockbusters like the big episodes such as the one with the killer doll....and one with this crazy serial killer guy who could crawl through vents or something. I was like 9 though and it scared the crap out of me...after seeing the doll episode me and a friend who was sleeping over had to go and take all my toys out of my room out of fear...lay them out on the landing and closed my door in fear....ahahah. so would people recommend buying the dvds instead? Cos I wont be able to continually watch x files every day at 7 cos I usually recorded and theyll all pile up and I know Ill give up after a while.

I wish they wouldnt show episodes every night either. They did that with Veronica Mars and they piled up so much I deleted them cos I didnt have the time to watch them all. I have never seen all the X-Files so I couldnt say about buying them or not.

I bought them, because each season was only £13. It's well worth it.
