OK, so we have ten episodes so far this season. With the strike happening, we will only have 5 more new ones. However, that's a lot more episodes than most shows are getting this season. I'm just happy that we have 5 more coming this season! I'm hoping and praying that we get another season!
I just loved watching Bizarro with Lana. Bizarro is so much better at living Clark's life than Clark is! Why is it so hard for Clark to be loving and happy?
I thought they would have broken Clana up back in November. I guess having her see what she could really have with Bizarro is just another nail in the coffin. But I thought that they'd be done at the end of the episode. Instead, they just got into bed all sad and angsty. Damn, it reminds me of my first marriage! Someone put this unhappy couple out of their misery, please!
Did anyone else wonder why Bizarro could sleep with Lana when Clark can't? And why didn't she notice that he was suddenly willing to have sex? I mean, they were making out naked, so I assume that is what was going on.
I couldn't figure out why Lex killed Julian, then was all upset about it. I mean, seems like if he put a hit on his brother, he'd have been pretty clear that it is what he wanted. It seems that in one fell swoop, they sent Lex back to the dark side. I didn't understand why Lionel was acting like he was happy to have Julian/Grant back to Julian's face, but telling Lex is was a degradation. I mean, make up your mind! It kind of reminds me of when Dawn was bringing Joyce back from the dead on Buffy. Except that we got to see Julian and he was very normal.
Speaking of Buffy, I loved seeing a few trademark Spike expressions on James Marsters' face as Brainiac/Milton Fine. Usually he's not much like our Spike, but he did a couple of evil smirk's that were right out of evil Spike's repetoire. I'm so impressed with how James can weave such different characters with different expressions, mannerisms, and walks. I've noticed the few times I've seen JM in person that he doesn't share many of Spike's expressions or mannerisms. That's talent.
I thought that the scene with "Lionel" and Clark seemed so awkward as I watched. It seemed way too convenient that Lionel knew everything Clark needed to know. And his character with Clark was so different than his interactions with Lex are. It made a lot more sense when it turned out to be Brainiac in disguise. I'm looking foward to seeing what fresh mischief he stirs up this season. However, I'm always disappointed that Bizarro gets defeated so fast and easily!
I guess Daksur shows that male pattern baldness also exists on Krypton. Seems like with their scientific advances they would have eradicated that a long time ago. I wish they would cast more over the top looking actors as Kryptonians. I think someone tall and strong looking like Kevin Sorbo or even a Jon Schneider-type would be more appropriate for a Krytponian. They are "supermen", after all. I love the idea of a superman that lived on earth long before Clark. Is Daksur a character from the comic books?
It's so fun to have a new Smallville episode this week. What did everyone else think?
