For some reason, I really liked this episode.
I like how dark Lana has gotten. I think it's a good twist after years of her being prety much the same. It lets them bring her and Clark together to satisfy all those years of longing, but plants the seeds for why they ultimately can't be together. I just wish they'd give us more romance between Clark and Lana. I mean, they're headed for the end, so it would be nice to see a little happiness! Plus, how did they solve the problem of him being worried he might hurt her of if they're intimate? They just aren't talking about it!
It makes sense that Lana would be so dark and vengeful after all she went through and lost last season. I think her evolution has been really natural.
I'm glad that Lionel's back. He is such a great villian and ads balance to the show. It was odd to have all of the older generation gone at the beginning of the season.
Personally, I liked having a break from Kara. I'm tired of her already. I don't think she's very interesting. Hopefully the rift between her and Clark will make her arc more compelling.
