****SPOILER WARNING!****
Spoilers for those not in the US.
OH man! This was crazy!
I swear, it was so evil. Lex descended into greater darkness by killing the guy who was trying to blackmail him. Sadly, he was so happy to be with Lana that he didn't care about the fact that twenty minutes earlier he killed her doctor.
Then they dangled the idea that Lana was going to be with Clark in front of us, then RIPPED it away. Man, that was mean!
I was ecstatic and started to tear up when Lana saw Clark use his powers. FINALLY! It was just so awesome that she finally knew his secret.
It was heartbreaking to see Lana make the sacrifice of giving up Clark so that Lionel didn't kill Clark with kryptonite.
But I know it will go somewhere interesting. I mean, it's kind of like when Phoebe married Cole and didn't know he was the source of all evil on Charmed. You knew it was bad when it happened, but you also knew it was going to make an awesome storyline.
I can't wait to find out what is the deal with Lana's baby. I guess it must be Zod's baby. It's going to be evil. Lex must know that from the dream he had of the baby looking all evil on the ultrasound.
Looks like Lex will keep descending into darkness from here. In his hear death experience last fall, his mother warned that he will cause the death of countless people in the future. Guess this is the beginning. They make it look like he tries to have Clark killed next week, but previews can be misleading.
On another front, Lionel's threat to kill Clark shows that he's just as evil as ever. So much for his apparent change in character the last two years. He's the same old Lionel Luther, just with maybe a bit more loyalty to his kid. He did hide the body of the guy Lex murdered. Of course, that could also be to protect his own image and self-interest. Lionel is always looking out for himself.

Maria you definitely summed it all up. I was so glad that Lana finally found out about Clark's secret and I was watching in anticipation when they dangled the possibility of Clark & Lana getting together and I was so sad for Clark when he was watching the wedding...But... I knew that in the back of my mind that they would never Let Clark and Lana get together. They just wouldn't stray that far away from the Superman mythology. Now that Clark is hurting it will make him more vulnerable and with Lana married in hell, hopefully the writers will amp up the chemistry between Clark and Lois. I am Glad that they have crossed the thresh hold fully by making Lex dive further into evil (as he should). I am curious about Lana's baby though Like Maria said it is probably Zod's Lionel showing his true colors...not a big surprise but I now feel sorry for Martha, I just hope he doesn't hurt her...Just curious though since Jor-El once possessed Lionel I wonder if Lionel keeping Lana and Clark separated was Lionel or Jor-El's Bidding or even a combination of both. I just can not wait till next week

I just can not wait till next week Speaking of Jor-El, I have a question about him. He's supposed to be dead, but he talks to Clark in real time, unlike in the movie where he had prerecorded answers to possible questions Clark might have. What's that about? Is it supposed to be his ghost? Have they ever addressed this? I haven't seen all of the past episodes yet. In the same vein, how come Jor-El is kind of omniscient and God-like? I mean, Clark wanted Lana brought back to life, but Jor-El said someone else had to die, since Clark had been brought back. Does Jor-El decide these rules? How does he have the power to turn back time or bring people back to life? Is he supposed to be in some other dimensional afterlife? Jor-El's presence despite his death and his powers have left me really curious. Have they ever answered these questions on the show?

Jor-El's omniscient God-like pressence is strickly a creation of the "Smallville" writers and not part of the Superman mythology (unless I missed something). As far as I know they have never explained this on the show...seems like a convienant Plot device

Yes, it's irritating. I knew it was just a Smallville plot device. But it's weird that they have comments like Kyra's conversation with Clark that Jor-El and the rest of Krypton has been dead for son long, but he's clearly actively taking part in Clark's life, down to saving Lana, but then taking Jonathon's life instead. I mean, Jonathon died of a heart attack, so how was Jor-El behind that? Or was it some universal law of giving one life for another that Jor-El used from his place in the after life? It's all just a mystery.
I hope they address it some day. Cuz it's a huge hole in the plot right now.
