What a twist for Izzy to be in love with George. I never saw that coming. I really don't see the chemistry there, though. It feels very contrived.
George was bugging the hell out of me in this episode. I know he is just doing more of his acting acting, overly dramatic reaction stuff. We've seen it before, with the emotional paralysis, self-centered reactions, blurry eyes, and general lost, zombie like behavior, as he appears to wander from scene to scene, but ENOUGH already!
I feel so badly for Callie. He's never been very present with her. Now his own guilt is pulling him further from her. I have a feeling the show is going to keep pursuing he and Izzy's feelings for each other. Callie will get hurt. The suckiest part is that once Kate Walsh is off the show (since she will have her own spin-off next season), she's going to be fresh out of confidante's on the show. Bailey will be the closest person to her, but Bailey isn't nearly such a vulnerable, flawed, "Hey, I can relate" type friend as Addison is.
McSteamy is such a jerk! I can't believe how easily he manipulated the board with his " I have a NOW plan" speech that he stole from Bailey. Isn't that how is so often works in companies, with some narcissistic ass without an original thought of his own getting aheard by stealing credit from his underlings?
Bailey is so clearly the leader of that hospital, even though she's just a resident. The main doctors appear to all be scared of her, as they go through their neurotic bumblings and she keeps bringing them back to the task at hand.
I hope that the Chief doesn't end up retiring. I mean, what does he have to retire to? His wife has completely moved on. He has no kids. He should stay. They need him.
I love the compassionate, devoted side that Alex has been showing with his Jane Doe patient from the Ferry accident. He's certainly growing. If Kate Walsh wasn't leaving the show, I'd think they would definitely have a future.
