Here is some news on "Heroes: origins" that I found. This was originally posted by Kevin Smith in his My Space blog. Kevin Smith (Jay & Silent Bob, Clerks I & II, Reaper etc...) was/ is scheduled to directed the first episode of "Heroes: Origins"
Here is what Kevin had to day...
"Heroes: Origins" has been temporarily shelved by NBC. It's not completely dead; but with all the Writer's Guild strike stuff happening, they've opted to slow their roll with "Origins." I'm a little bummed, but also a little relieved - as it meant I would've had to rush back to L.A. the day after we wrap "Zack and Miri" to start shooting the "Heroes" ep. Now, there's more breathing space. Wouldn't be surprised at all if "Origins" was put in motion again next season instead of this season.

Im not really up on the infro about the strike...obviously origins is being affected because of this post...but will the general season2 be affected like shortening the number of episodes or something? I hope not.

I hope not. According to TV Guide article, episode 11 would have an alternative ending that works as season finale. If the strike continues then season 2 of Heroes would end on December 3rd with the 11th episode.

There was a rumor on a the LA Morning News today that the strike might end soon. That could just be a rumor, though. It's the first time I've heard that. Every other rumor has been that it would go on for months.
If the strike ends soon, then Heroes will probably get more episodes. But it's all dependent on how long the strike lasts.

Im afraid it doesn't work that way...to create season of a show it is a long process that every second matters and can impact the the length of a season. Setting up the sets and getting the production ready along with working the scripts...the time it takes for the cast to prepare for the episodes in advance is crucial. So the longer the strike lasts the the chances decrease for the new episoides to resume...which leads to the shorter season oh my god...end on episode fecking 11/12!!! why!!! cant they just wait for the strike to finish and do the usual 23 episodes or whatever they do!! i dont understand it. i hope it doesnt last too long cos lost season 4 will be affected and if that occurs i will cry blood...no joke.
