SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!
If you haven't seen the first episode of the new season, the following reveals some of what happened.
OK, I thought the episode was pretty interesting.
I'm sad about George Takei dying. I love him! I hope he's not really dead. We never found out what his power was, so it could be something that would help him survive that fall.
I'm mostly just confused and curious about Nathan. Why did his face look burned and disfigured for a moment, then go back to being normal? Is that what he sees? Is that what everyone else sees? I'm so confused!
I'm also still really curious about what Mrs. Petrelli's powers are. Also, how did Peter get put in that crate?
So many questions!
I liked when Noah (HRG) threatened his boss. Who hasn't wanted to tell off an abusive boss before?
I'm also anxious to find out more about Kristen Bell, since she wasn't in this episode at all.
Anyone else have any thoughts about it?

I thought the ep was so-so. Not "on the edge of your seat" Heroes that I'm used to. But I have to remember that they are taking a new approach to this season since the promotions all indicate that you didn't need to know what happened in season 1 to be able to watch.
I liked Hiro's story line and his awareness that he may be causing a rift in time and may be re-writing history with his presence. Nice to see David Anders but I would have preferred the Japanese folk hero be Japanese. Kind of reminding me of Tom Cruise and the Last Samurai.

I thought that was so funny when Hiro said, "I broke history!" I agree that it was too bad that the guy was English. I assume they did that so that the whole thing wouldn't be in Japanese. When I saw the last scene of the season finale, I was hoping that it would be George Takei in the past, that maybe his gift was also time travel related, or he would be immortal or something. Then I heard the role was given to a white guy and I was kind of disappointed. But it looks like there is potential for Hiro type comedy in their relationship. Hiro teaches his hero how to be a hero.

I believe It will most likely go as Maria said... Hiro teaches The Hero to be the HERO Of course Hiro could just bring the Japanese Princess back to the present with him of course returning just in time to prevent his father from falling thus saving everyone ;D (Just kidding ...though cool...it isn't plausible) I really love the new Hispanic couple I can not wait to see how thier storyline unfolds. And Claire's new Love interest is really a nice addition...I think they have great chemistry together...Plus the dude can fly ;D here is the cover of TV Guide with Kristen Bell on it...Awesome! and Here are the new Heroes for season 2

I got to watch the premiere and I was a bit disappointed. Now Niki at all, Maya and Alejandro scenes didn't reveal much that wasn't said in the graphic novel so that was repetitive. I did like some bits - like the new mysterious big-bad, Sark on Heroes ( ), the whole Peter bit in the end and such. But overall, it would be the first episode I actually got bored. I just hope next ones would be better...

Lior, I hadn't read the graphic novels, so it's all new to me. I guess I need to get on it and read those!
Thanks for all the great info, Scotty! Fun information. It sounds like Dana Davis will be related to DL. I was so bummed when he died. I'm psyched about Uhura joining the cast. She's fabulous.
I think it's funny that Kristen Bell will be a bad girl. Nice turn for her. And she'll get major exposure on this show.

Maria As far as I know DL hasn't died...(unless they have said or announced something to that effect and I missed it...which of course is possible ) I just re-watched "How To stop an Exploding man" and He was there at the end with Micah, Nikki and Molly...he was hurt but still alive. I think that they mentioned that Dana Davies will be Micah's cousin so she would be DL's cousin and I think that Uhura (Nichelle Nichols) will be DL's Grandmother

I thought his wound was going to kill him, but he was alive at the end. I had just assumed he would die. I sure hope he doesn't!

And I agree, KB seems to be on the right path with this role. ;D As for DL, I side with Scotty on this one - I never heard he died...I know he won't be around this season but not sure he's dead. Which is another negative point for the premiere - they had to mention this stuff; at least for a second, but instead they failed to catch us up on Niki and her family.

One thing to remember about Heroes is that most of the story lines cross each other and alternate week after week. this week we got an update for Hiro, Claire and Matt (Suresh and Molly) plus the set up for the Herreras (new hispanic couple) and Claire's new (flying) love interest next week will most update and likely focus on Peter(as seen in the final scene), Nikki, Claire, Matt & Surresh and one of the new characters...I am sure that an update for Nikki's family will be next episode. we also can look forward to an update on Sylar if not next week then soon so Patience...all will be reveiled in good time ...I know the anticipaton will drive me bonkers...LOL

After last season, I hoped they'd keep the updates on the main characters while doing the week-on-week-off with new characters...especially since main characters from last season been reduced quite a lot since the show begun. I just hope they won't delay it just in sake of keeping the formula.
