I took the opportunity and advantage of the Collectormania Midlands con to ask Bruce Campbell if he'd guest star in Supernatural. Its been noted in several places, including the Official Supernatural magazine, that Bruce had been tapped up to play John Winchester rather than Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Due to scheduling conflicts, Bruce couldn't oblige. It has also been noted that instead they wanted Bruce to play a hunter and again due to scheduling conflicts Bruce could not. When I asked Bruce to please say yes and find the time if he was offered Supernatural Bruce's reply was: "Which show is this? Never heard of it?" I went on to elaborate, so Bruce said: "If I am asked to do a show, it HAS to meet my criteria for my approval, if it does okay, but I have certain things I want to do and the show must meet them. I am much more interested in doing my projects for now." Queue shocked into silence dumbfoundedness. Not heard of Supernatural? How could Eric Kripke and co have tapped him up? Who is lying to us? Quite frankly, Bruce in a semi-comedic role with Jensen and Jared would actually be kind of cool. Those two have comic timing and Bruce would bounce off them. At the moment I cannot see it happening!

That's lame It would have been cool for him to be on it. He could have done a homage to Ash or the Evil Dead movies ;D

That's weird that he acts so arrogant about his roles. I liked him as Autolycus on Xena and he's great on Burn Notice, but he's not exactly as Shakespearean actor. That Robert Tabert show he did was very dorky. He was pretty cheesey as the witch hunter on Charmed, too. That's not exactly a show for acting snobs.
