Did everyone watch the Oscars? I thought Ellen was cute. She's always amusing in her quirky realness.
I was kind of rooting for Peter O'Toole for best actor, even though he's kind of a crazy, hard partying alcoholic. I mean, he's been nominated like 7 or 9 times, or something, but never won
I also wish that Borat had won for best screenplay, but the Oscar voters are probably way too serious and pent up to like that movie. It was brilliant, though! He also adlibbed a ton on his feet, and deserves props for that.
I especially thought all the lines for the presenters were pretty hilarious, funnier than most Oscar shows they've had. Usually the jokes fall flat, but these were great, especially Al Gore pretending he was announcing he was running for president and being played off the stage by the orchestra! Classic!
Ellen giving Martin Scorcese her script and then asking Steven Spielberg to take a picture of her with Clint Eastwood, then asking them to retake it more centered, that was so awesome!!! Hilarious.
I'm ecstatic that Jennifer Hudson won. She's so sweet and lovely. I mean, she's not Hollywood yet, so it's nice to see her purity and joy.

Hey Maria!
I watched the show from 6:00 pm til the end!
I think this year's show was pretty good, not too over the top, and suttle (Spel?) in a way.
I am thrilled by Jennifer Hudson and Forrest Whitaker awards: Not only she got the Golden Globe but also the oscar! What a year for a former American Idol contestant! Forrest Whitaker has a great and interesting career, so it was about time he get something. His performance in Last King of Scotland was incredible anyway, so well deserved!
I haven't seen the Departed yet, so can't really say anything about it!
I am also very glad for Helen Mirren; she's such a talented actress!
Fashion faux-pas: Gwyneth Paltrow, wrong from head to toe! Anne Hattaway, what's up with the weird black boe designed on the white dress! Reese whiterspoon, plain and boring; she did so much better, and the bangs makes her head looks weirder!Naomi Watts, yellow is wrong when you are a blonde fair skin lady!
Glam and fab: Diane Keaton, AMAZING Figure! Helen Mirren looked very classy!Clive OWen and George Clooney were SO HOT!Jodie Foster looked simple yet sexy. Jennifer Lopez, being married helps your sense of fashion girl (Is she trying to hide a pregnancy?)
Ellen was great as the host, I just love her. She is funny in a very positrive way, without agressing people, I like that!

Forrest Whitacker's speech was so touching, wasn't it? I had the feeling that Jerry Seinfeld's comedy routine was an audition to host next year's Oscars. Did anyone else get that sense? The fashions were kind of disappointing to me. I didn't think that anyone was stand out, except Rachel Weisz. Here are some of the pics. I couldn't find a picture of Anika Rose's red Dreamgirls song performance gown. I thought that was the best dress of the night. It seemed like a lot of people were missingt at this year's Oscars. Here are some of the pictures from the Red Carpet: Rachel Weisz in retro Hollywood elegance. Jodie Foster, VERY NICE! Kate Winslet, very elegant Reese Withersp oon Helen Mirren, dazzling Jennifer Lopez, the dress was so unflattering! And the husband accessory, looks to sleazy for her arm, IMHO. Gwyneth Paltrow with her ill fitting dress that cut her breasts in a weird way. Maggie Gyllenhal: Dreamgirls Anika Rose and Jennifer Hudson Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts Anne Hathaway Cate Blanchett, looking perfect. Penelope Cruz Jada Pinkett-Smith Kirsten Dunst, what's with the feathers? Jessica Biel, looking less glamorous than she did at the Golden Globes. I didn't think the dress of hair were flattering at all. Beyonce Portia DiRossi Cameron Diaz Michael Buble and Emily Blunt Kinuchi Rinko, looking lovely Sacha Baron Cohen. It's just nice to see him looking so un-Borat like Eddie Murphy and date Tracey Edmonds. She looked amazing. [/quote]

The ocars were great! I missed a lot of the end because I forgot it would runover so much. I did get to see the amazing performance from the stars from Dream Girls and lol, that musical number with Jack Black and Will. That was so funny! My favorite dress had to be Jlo. It's beautiful. She looks like a goddess or a queen. lovely! My least favorite was Kirsten Dunst. She needs some better people around her because if I were her friend/assistant, I would have never let her leave the house like that.

I think it's just that people have such different ideas about what looks good.
Cojo on Entertainment Tonight name Kirsten Dunst as the 3rd best dressed. Who'd of thunk?
I didn't like JLo's dress at all. The jeweled top was lovely, but the empire waist and tons of fabric weren't flattering, in my opinion.
