Forum Rules & Site Disclaimer
Illegal Involvement:
The discussion of any illegal activity or involvement is strictly forbidden by the ProBoards Terms of Service to be distributed to the public. This includes anything along the lines of Warez, hacking, free downloads, etc.
Please read our disclaimer below:
This forum is a place dedicated to the fans love of TV shows and is not intended for profit or benefit from the above shows mentioned. TViLike assumes no responsibility for the content and views expressed in the individual post of it's members. All names and character, images are copyright by their respected owners. All content on this forum is not authorized by the shows creators and is merely used as a tribute to the wonderful shows available on TV. Any copyright infringement is unintentional and will be corrected if called into question.
Board Conduct and Rules
Respect the TViLike Forum Community
* Listen to the admin and moderators.
* Respect your fellow members and do not harass.
* Use the SEARCH feature before posting. If a thread already exists for the topic you wish to post about, please use the existing thread. That way we will not oversaturate any of the forums with threads on the same topic.
* Do not post the same thread / reply in multiple forums. (aka: No cross-posting)
* Please take time to read all the F.A.Q. threads. These threads are "sticky" threads at the top of the forum you are in.
* Please post new threads in the correct forum on the boards. Please read the forum description under each forum Title to see what content belongs in each forum.
* We do not speak ill of other sites and forums on TViLike. So, the same courtesy is expected elsewhere. Otherwise, please do not post on these forums.
*No Flaming other members! Speaking about other members negatively is strictly prohibited. Be respectful to others. Sex, Race, and Religion are touchy subjects so handle with care.
Post Content & Images
* Nudity, depictions of lewd situations or extreme violence, vulgarity or other inappropriate language will not be tolerated.
* Do not try to sneak words in by editing them (such as using an *). AKA: No edited vulgarity. It's edited out for a reason, so please respect that.
* Absolutely no talk about the illegal downloading of shows, comic books, etc. If they are allowed in any capacity, you can find them on TViLike in the appropriate section.
* Do not "bump" threads. If you truly feel as though your thread / post has gone unnoticed, delete it then repost. You can do this by hitting the edit button on the thread, and then following the delete instructions.
* Do not make back to back posts. Use the edit button to add to your previous post -- this will help to keep the thread organized and easy to follow for everyone. Try to limit your double-posting!
Important Note:
Signatures, Custom Ranks, and Avatars
* Do not use these to fight with other members
* No lude or offensive material or wording may be used
* If you need help on custom ranks and avatars, see this thread.
* Your signature, avatar, and custom rank may be edited/removed without notice.
* Do not put an importance on a custom rank, et cetera. Instead, please enjoy conversing with other TV show fans. Meaning don't post over and over simply to add to your post count!
Any and all posts / threads that fail to meet these rules are subject to closure or deletion and/or disciplinary action as follows.
These are privately owned forums. Disobeying the rules of the conduct because you didn't read them or do not agree with them is no excuse -- they must be followed. If you have any problems or concerns with any of our rules, please feel free to PM an admin or moderator to discuss it with them. All users who wish to participate on these forums must abide by these rules. Otherwise, you have every right to post on another forum elsewhere that better suits your needs.
Three Strikes:
- First offense: Warning
- Second offense: Suspension-ban
- Third offense: Banishment from the site forever
The above "three strikes" rule is just a general guideline. We reserve the right to also go by a case-by-case basis to analyze the situation and then take appropriate action.
Thank you for reading this document! By following the rules, you will be helping TViLike to continue to be a fun and safe community!
Why should I register?
In order to fully utilize the abilities of this forum, the administrator will probably require that you register as a member. Registration is free, and allows you to do the following:
* Post new threads
* Reply to other peoples' threads
* Edit your posts
* Receive email notification of replies to posts and threads you specify
* Send private messages to other members
* Enter events in the forum calendar
* Set up a 'buddy-list' to quickly see which of your friends are currently online
To register, you will need to specify a user name and password, and a valid email address. Entering your email address will not leave you open to 'spam', as you can choose to hide your email address, and messages sent to you via email do not reveal your address to the sender in any case. (To verify this, you can try sending an email message to another user.) The administrator may have configured the forum to send you the final part of the registration process by email, so ensure that the email address you provide is valid and working.
Before registering you must be informed that the individual registering must be between the age of 15 and 100 due to the mature themes some shows have. If you are under the age of 15, the administrator may require that a parent or guardian provides consent before allowing you to complete the registration process. More information about this is available during the registration process.
What are Moderators?
Moderators oversee specific forums. They generally have the ability to edit and delete posts, move threads, and perform other manipulations. Becoming a moderator for a specific forum is usually rewarded to users who are particularly helpful and knowledgeable in the subject of the forum they are moderating.
Can I talk/posts links about free downloads?
NO NO NO! It's called illegal for a reason, just don't discuss anything "FREE" on this forum. And for the record, downloading from Limewire IS illegal.
How big can my signature and avatar be?
Please keep your signature and avatars relatively small sizes. There are members on here with slower connection speeds, and it does become a hassle to the loading speed. Overly large signatures (above 215H x 500W) or any signatures with inappropriate content will be removed by the staff immediately. PM a staff member if you find any that we may have missed. Avatars/Icons should be 100 by 100 pixels in size.
How long can my display name or personal text be?
TRY and keep your display name and personal text to a small length. Overly large names and text stretch the boards and it becomes a hassle to other members.
I lost my password. What do I do?
There are a couple things you can do:
* On the Login Page, right next to the Password Box is the forgot password link. You can click that and your password will be sent to your email.
* If your email has changed and it hasn't been updated here, you can email an admin, and they will make you a new one. It can either be sent to your correct email, or you can request a specific password (the latter is not advised).
I can't get HTML to work right in my posts!
HTML is not allowed to be used in Posts and Sigs here at Proboards for security reasons. You can use UBBC however.
How do I send a Private Message?
Click on the person's name you want to send a message. This will open their Profile. Then click on the "Send this member a private message" line.
AFTER READING THIS, POST A COMMENT SHOWING YOUR AGREEMENT TO THE SITE'S TERMS
** I have to give props to Phil from Slayalive for the work he put in to create this great set of rules. I believe every forum should have these rules on their site.
