Quite recently us Brits (if we have SKY) have had TV Shows only a few weeks behind the Americans. Now this is great because I have enjoyed Prison Break, Ugly Betty etc... However doesnt this "Take a break" thingy annoy anyone? I am only saying because I have missed an episode of PB and I HATE missing anything when it comes to my fave TV Shows. When I watch TV or a film I have to listen to every word. If the phone rings or someone comes then I pause it. My hubby knows not to talk to me when I am watching stuff. I think that PB has taken two breaks now and that is just pants What does everyone else think? Does it bother you? Or am I on my own here?

Hate interruptions in between shows. Used to drive me nuts when they took Buffy off BBC2 for the blasted Snooker for 4 or 5 weeks. I also hate having to hunt around for shows as they get changed slots every week a la Law and Order:SVU on Five.
Gets me really grumpy!

It really annoys me too, that's why I think DVD's are better at the moment!

Breaks in the regular TV season annoy me also...it is even worse now since most shows are are on permenant Hiatus untill the WGA writer's strike is resolved...It may be many months before he see new episodes. Thank goodness for BBC America! ;D....I can't wait for the second season of Torchwood and the new season for Doctor Who (Jan 26)

You are lucky in Britain to usually not have to deal with the breaks between episodes. Here it's always been a problem. It used to drive me crazy to watch a show with a continuing storyline, only to have it interrupted with weeks of reruns in between. And then sometimes they have new episodes sprinkled in among the weeks of reruns. It makes it hard to remember exactly what's going on with the new storyline. I like that Heroes shows all new episodes in a row, then takes a long break in the winter, then shows all new episodes in the spring. It's MUCH easier to follow. And with DVRs, it's rare to miss an episode. Though occassionally my Tivo messes up and doesn't record something. Then it's frustrating to know that I won't get a rerun! At least NBC shows all the latest episodes online!
