Eliza Dushku has been tapped to star in Fox's one-hour pilot "Nurses". "Nurses," from 20th TV, is a comedic drama about the lives and loves of a team of nurses. Dushku will play the title character Eve, a young woman just out of nursing school who joins the hospital run by her father. Dushku replaces Katheryn Winnick, who originally was cast in the role; the part was recast after the character was taken in a different, more comedic direction. Also cast in the pilot is Jaclyn DeSantis (Paradigm), who will play an experienced nurse going through a bitter divorce. The project reunites Dushku with Fox and 20th TV following her starring role on "Tru Calling." This ones for you shep

I'm wishing all the best for Eliza but has history has it, Fox and ex-Buffy stars are really unmixy things: Firefly Tru Calling Kitchen Confidential and the most recent victim: Drive
Back to the topic, yeah, I loved Sarah on Less Than Perfect. She carried the show really well. I think she's going to be cute as Eliza's best bud.

She carried the show really well. I think she's going to be cute as Eliza's best bud. But Bones has done very well on Fox. It's starting a third season next fall. Three seasons is a lot for any show on TV. I do wish Fox and other networks would give shows more time to find their audience before pulling the plug so fast. I'm glad that Eliza is doing a comedy. She has such great comedic timing. I could never get that into Tru Calling because her expressions were so flat and she didn't have much personality. I love Sarah Rue, too. I'm really looking forward to seeing this. Let's just pray that Fox gives it a chance! Eliza is still a pretty well kept secret. She has yet to become a recognized name to a mainstream audience.
