I have to say that I prefer playing on the Xbox to the PC, controller gameplay is better, 32" TV, surround sound etc... Boy am I spoilt!
Question: Why release TR:A on PS2 when there are much better consoles out there?

Im sure itll be converted to gamecube and xbox eventually.

Was TR launched on the PS? I was discussing this last weekend with another TR fan and we couldn't honestly remember PS being used for TR. We both thought it was the PC that was the inaugural platform.
Obviously, I'm not such a hard-core fan, so am prepared to be corrected!
I'd have thought the marketing side would dictate get as many versions out as possible, a fair few people will be turned off because of the lack of console versions, that's got to mean lost revenue.

James is right, its exclusive to PS because of the long relationship between TR games and PS. Every game in the series was released on PS (and PC): TR1 - PS1, PC & Saturn TR2 - PS1, PC & Mac TR3 - PS1, PC & Mac TR4 - PS1, PC, Mac & Dreamcast TR5 - PS1, PC, Mac & Dreamcast TR6 - PS2, PC & Mac TR7 - PS2, PC, PSP, xBox & xBox360 So as James pointed out, its a loyalty thing to Sony. But no worries TR8 would have multi-platforms release as well.

Right, okay. As I said, shows how much I know!
Must have been the student thing then, because when it came out, everyone at the University was playing it on PC.

Oh wow! Thanks Lior! I had forgotten about the crocodiles. Cannot wait for this game to be released or a demo or something.

Guys, check out the new Egypt gameplay footage: www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5u9_5MZkJwGot to say I'm a bit disappointed because it maybe looks like TR1 but it doesn't feel like TR1.

I just hope there more claustropopic tomb levels.

Thanks for the link Lior. Well, what can I say, it'll be nice to play the game but I have mixed feelings. It deviates to far from TR1 by being too bright and too big but it is nice to see the level of detail in the game. Gameplay: nice to see the handstand is back, I only managed to do that once in Legend on the 360 by complete fluke. Lara seems to have a new step-jump action going on when she climbs up a pillar so does that mean she can jump higher gaps? The grappled wall walk looks cool and is a nice maneuver to include. However, the jumps, the climbs, the swings around poles it all seems to be the same moves over and over which was the fault with Legend and does get monotonous and tedious after a while. I'm slightly worried this looks like Legend repacked with a few levels that bare a resemblance to TR1 being marketed TR1 being remade better.

I was playing legends last night and I did this cool cart wheel thing that I had never done before. I was all exicted...
I really can't wait for Anniversary, I mean I really want some new adventures! My own big iffy complaint is I wish after you beat the game you could go back with the sword and use that as your weapon... That would be really fun.
I liked the magnetic grappeld thing, I dunno what I will think of the claw one. Though I guess you get more use of it.

Travis, in Legend if you complete Nepal level in Time Trial mode you unlock the Excalibur cheat and can use it in any level you replay (just press a certain combination of keys and you'd have it...the key combination depends on your platform). As for the cart wheel stand is very easy. Whilst hanging from a ledge, hold Jump key.

Fight with the sword Excalibur in Legends is that? Cos you can, you need to do the Nepal time trial to open the cheat code for its use, you can also open the soul weaver too. tombraiders.net/stella/walks/TR7walk/timetrials.html has information and strategies, including a really useful XBOX and 360 bug for the time trials!
