I thought last night's GG was pretty good. I'm really psyched that Logan has come down to earth and is taking some responsibility for his own life. He's always been quite charming, but so spoiled. Leaving his money and dad behind was such a brave thing to do, and scary and humbling.
There were two amazing conversations this week. Lorelai and Logan's talk in the kitchen was so pivotal. Lorelai revealed her worries about Logan being irresponsible. Logan layed out his fears, insecurities, and hope that she all of people would understand leaving behind your rich, privleged life to strike out on your own. Her frank talk about working hard and being responsible was so unlike Lorelai. She's an exceptionally hard worker, but she never talks about it. She always has such a devil-may-care attitude and witty comment. But it's clear that Rory gets her extreme work ethic from her mom.
I liked Logan so much more after this episode. His charm is tempered with some humility.
Lorelai's talk with Luke was even more important. It was so casual there in the middle of the hay bale maze, but they said everything they needed to say. She apologized for sleeping Chris just the night after they had broken up. He took responsibility for how he had freaked out about finding out he had a daughter and had used it to push Lorelai away from him. It seems like he has learned a lot in the past year.
April was even less annoying in this episode. I still don't like the way she overarticulates every word. But she was such a nerd with an attitude, like she used to be. I thought she looked prettier, too.
Anyway, just a few weeks left. I think Luke and Lorelai are supposed to get married at the end of the season. There isn't official word about whether the show will survive for another season (that I've heard) . Initially, this was supposed to be the last season, then rumors swirled about it going on without Rory.
Does anyone have up to date official statements about whether the show will go on or not?

Well this weeks episode is really leading up to a great finale... I am hoping the series will return for a season 8 (minus Rory) I think it would give a chance for characters like Lane, Emily, Richard and Sookie to get more story out of the series. And though I ADORE Paris, I feel this episode was a great cap for her character and if she didn't return next season, I wouldn't be overly depressed.
So this episode was great for Luke and Lorelai, I thought the begning was really sad, I wanted Luke and Lor to just be friends again, so when they started fighting at the car lot I was so happy, it was great to just see the relationship they had at the start.
Paris and Doyle, always great to see them. Paris' whole ordeal was just great and really sums up the character. Doyle's return was great and I am glad they are back together - cause they are just perfect together.
Rory... meh. I hate Rory's two friends, though I was very upset to see her not get the job (though kind of predicatble...) but sad.

I actually thought Rory would get the job. She's always gotten everything she's gone after from getting into prep school, to being valedictorian, to getting into both Harvard and Yale. But I guess they needed to add a little drama and have her face rejection (and not just from Jess).
I haven't been into Rory as a character in a long time. It looks like Logan will be proposing to her next week. That seems pretty silly, since he is still just figuring out who he is separate from his daddy's money. Maybe he does it to give himself a sense of stability, but it's still annoying.
I loved the last Luke and Lorelai scene where he told her he found a car just like her old one and they were fighting over him putting a bell on her bike. "I want a horn!" "OK, I'll get you a horn. Are you happy?" That smile on her face was priceless. She's so cute! Luke and Lorelai are back!

Good episode!
So we finally got a full cast episode... minus michel... but what ever. We had the Majority of the cast, which is a rare thing for GA to do.
Lorelai... god when she sang I almost cried, when Luke walked in! I feel so bad for those two, I want them to come together!
Rory... could care less about, though Logan coming at the end to talk to Lorelai... man. Though I smell something bad, I don't think she'll say yes.
Lane and Zach, I am glad we fianlly get to see them again. Is this Lane's first apperance since the birth? I think it is... But I have to say I am loving the entire thing. I also love the baby names, Quan and Steve! Perfect XD! I think Lane and Zach have a great onscreen relationship that is alot more enjoyable to watch them on screen over Rory and Logan. "Name brand dipers, name brand chips!? Zach!"
Sookie had her regular kitchen scene... nothing new...
Luke and April... I am starting to like them, but why did that camp have to be introduced? It just seems like the writers are making their relationship harder and harder, just when I was starting to like them together and liking the boat trip idea they go and smash it! Stupid... they are wrecking what could be a good relationship...
Though I think Luke with take Lorelai on the boat trip now ^_^
OH! And the teaser with Paris and Doyle and Rory in the Chilton school uniform! I couldn't stop laughing, it just looks so small on her now, I remember when it was soooo loose, its too funny.

And the teaser with Paris and Doyle and Rory in the Chilton school uniform! I couldn't stop laughing, it just looks so small on her now, I remember when it was soooo loose, its too funny. OK, that Chilton classroom scene with Rory in her old uniform completely threw me. I was watching a Tivoed episode, so I thought I must have accidentally Tivoed one of the daily reruns on the Family Channel. But her hair was tipping me off. They do like their dream sequences on GG. Remember the one with Madelaine Albright cuddling Rory in bed, or the one with the dog Paul Anka and the real Paul Anka? That uniform was definitely tight on her. She's much more curvy and womanly shaped now than when she was younger. I loved the chemistry between Lane and Zach as well. I really didn't want her to marry him, since he's such an idiot, but he's grown on me since he started to work at Luke's. I love how he's so chatty with Luke and gets Luke to admit emotional stuff. It's very cute. It was obvious that Lane wasn't going to be able to take the twin babies on the road. What band would want to deal with that in their tour bus? I also hope that Luke takes Lorelai on the boat trip. I actually did cry when Lorelai sang that song. But that song always makes me cry. It was popular when my grandfather died and my sister kept singing it all weekend while he was dying in the hospital. So now every time I hear it, water works. The way that Lorelai and Luke looked at each other while she was singing it was so sweet! She was mortified the next day when she was sober, but he was so happy! It was adorable. I'm right there with about Rory. I'm so over her. But I like Logan's new humble side. It think it's a good balance with all of his boyish charm. Word is that the CW is looking at doing a short season of GG next season: About 13 episodes. They're trying to get both Alexis and Lauren to sign on. I think Lauren is more likely than Alexis, but we'll have to see. I think this was my favorite episode of the season. I'm glad that Logan went to Lorelai for "permission" to marry Rory. The look on Lorelai's face was priceless! I had to still frame it. But they're too young for that! I guess the writers are trying to get her destiny all sewn up before the show ends.

Did anyone else see the finale? I cried and cried! It was so sad! Cute at times, like when the crowd of people was sneaking around in the town square behind Lorelai and Rory with all the party supplies. But it was overall very sad, with Rory leaving town for her new life.
I hated the kiss between Lorelai and Luke, because for me it was too little too late. Luke's been so lame to her for so long. Staying up all night to put on a party for her kid just doesn't cut it for me as closure. And then, just as they start kissing, the camera pans up and out and focuses on the party tent. HELLO! We've been waiting for this for a year, couldn't you at least show the kiss for more than a second and a half?
I really thought they should have brought them together a few episodes ago. I didn't like that Luke had no reaction at all after Lorelai sang to him. I just think he's soo emotionally shut down that it just doesn't feel like they're ending the show with the two of them in a good place.
However, they ended the show, it would have been sad. I'll miss my girls!
