Are you making any New Year's resolutions this year?
I usually do, but this year I'm so busy getting ready to move that I don't feel like making doing anything new and different.
One year I gave up caffiene and I've never gone back on it.
Another year I gave up sugar and lost a lot of weight over a couple of months.
I love New Year's resolutions because they inspire us to start anew.

Well I don't know if you can call this a resolution but within the next year I hope to find a new job where I'm happy.

1. Lose weight
The second is more of a promise to myself, to get contact lenses.

Me neither... although there are probably many things I should change I just feel that "making a resolution" just because it's New Years... is rather cliche and usually sets one up for failure. So, as a practice I don't make them at this time of year. Congrats to Maria on all her success with them though!!

Personally I do not like New Years Resolutions so I never make one. For me they are just hollow promises one makes ones self only to feel ultimately disappointed when they are broken ( for me 99% usually are broken within the first month) I just try to set a goal (any time of the year) for myself and work at it the best I can and if I do not suceed then I will try again...no promises or promises broken ;D
Good luck and best Wishes for all who do make New years resolutions...they just don't work for me ;D
Congratulations Maria for your success ;D

1. Lose weight The second is more of a promise to myself, to get contact lenses. That's a great idea! I really want to get Lasik, but I never want to spend the money. LOL. I just lost 26 pounds over the last few months, but I'd still like to lose a bit more. However, I think of a New Year's resolution as being something I'm not already working on. Still can't decide. I'll probably just keep working on my weight and getting organized.
