Hi
What does your username mean? Why did you choose it?
Shep is short for my surname 'Shepherd', quite a boring choice really but i have used it since 2005 when I joined the BTVS figs forum, so decided to stay with it.

I'm not overly keen on Vicky I much prefer Vicks (and as far as I know I am the only Vicks I am aware of) plus Vicks helps at work as there is another Victoria.
The mad comes from me being as mad as a hatter! No one is going to argue with me on that one are they?

People always think that my name is about the Spice Girls, since they made the phrase Girl Power popular. However, I don't care one way or the other about them, I just love the phrase.
I have always loved female heroes, especially super heroes, like Wonder Woman (obviously), Isis (fromthe 70s) the Bionic Woman, Bat Girl, Xena, and of course, Buffy. I've also really liked powerful women in general, like Alexis Carrington on Dynasty, Oprah, and others.
I grew up in a very violent, traditional, patriarchal family where being female meant you were a servant and the lowest on the totem pole. I thought that was a bunch of crap. Fromthe time I was about 10, I started to question traditional roles, but I always looked to strong female role models, since I was four years old.
When I was in my 20s, I thought being female was a curse, because it was harder, we were considered lesser, less free, and had to be afraid for our very safety, even when walking alone to our car inthe vening. Men walk down the street at dusk without thinking twice about it. Women live in fear and caution every day of our lives. I've known a lot of women who've been raped by an acquaintance, or even by a stranger while walking home from school in broad daylight.
It took me awhile to find the power in being a woman. But now I feel that it's fun to be both strong and feminine. Now I see the power in enjoying who you are, having fun with style, and still being assertive and keeping yourself safe.
I have enjoyed counseling females who have survived rape and abuse. My passion is helping other women find the power and beauty in being female, learning to set their boundaries and take personal power over their lives..
That's what Girl Power means to me.

Well DigitalLeonardo (my original username) came from Digital Art and Leonardo DiVinci (yeah) and kind of put together for something fun and quick, I shorten down to Digilee for easyness, but have used DigitalLeonardo more and more, since Digilee is so kidish.
Batboy (current) is well... Duh Batman's super cool side kick and husband of Batgirl ^_^

I don't know about Batboy. Did he replace Robin or was he Robin?
The name Batboy reminds me of the batboy that one of those tabloids made up, with a really bad picture they made of a kid that looked like a bat. Do you know the one?
