Well I thought I'd put this here and not in the BtVS section, since its kind of lounge-ish.
If Buffy didn't make it past season 1, where would you be?
I am pretty sure I wouldn't be on the computer as much. Buffy is the only realy reason I started using chatrooms and forums, before I really rarely went online. I also know I would have a different set of friends, since I met them through Buffy, or well my main-main friends. So with out Buffy, I doubt I'd be their friends and I'd most likely be with my old friends who are now all snobby sluts v.v... Also I doubt I'd watch as much TV, and no VM...
What about you all?

Definitely would not be on the PC as much at all... Probably spending more time being an "effective teacher", ahem...
But yep, less time on the PC, like you BB I got into forums because of Buffy.
I'd also have a lot more money and more space in my room!
My mom actually worked it out a while back and she reckoned I had spent about £15-20,000 on Buffy/Angel stuff. As that was a while back I'd say it's probably more.
I'd probably have a house of my own and be pottering in that!

Oh man, it sounds like Buffy has ruined our lives!
I'm in exactly the same boat. I only ventured into a board because I was so down about season 6 of Buffy that I went in search of spoilers, to find out if Buffy's life was going to get any better, or if I should just stop watching the show.
I found a Buffy board, and started posting, because I was so upset about the show. Now I'm a full-fledged Buffy board and Buffy action figure addict.
So if I hadn't watched Buffy, I would have more money and hopefully I would have done something more useful with my life. Luckily, Buffy stayed on and I didn't have to become productive after all!

I would not be online that much and forums won't even be part of my daily routine. I would have never devoloped a unique cartoon drawing style....I did a story board in college based on the 1st season of Buffy in a unique cartoon style. That helped me get a passing grade I would have more space in my room and money in my pocket ;D I also would have never known how many different interesting people there are all over the world. No btvs figs forum or TVilike......

I am the same as everyone else. i would have never found the ms big custom website, then ventured on to the btvs figs forum, and i wouldnt be posting on this forum either! I wouldnt have spend loads of money on buffy figs and lost out when i sold them on. I am sure i havent spent as much as vicks though, £15-20,000 is a lot of money! I would never have met the Buffy stars and spent money on the conventions/memrobilia fayres. I dont think I would have got into 'Charmed' either. This show was my saviour when Buffy ended. My King Charles dog would have never been named 'Buffy' and would probably have a 'normal' dog name! ;D
I only got into Buffy from season 3 onwards

No Buffy??? In our lives? My god, it sounds just awful...It would feel like being an orphan!
I think I won't spend much time in front of my computer as well, like evrybody else, and I would have saved so much money!!!! Man, I'd probably have either treat myself to a shopping spree in Italy or a week of sun on some island! But I wouldn't have grown the same way...In a way, the show helped me a lot when I wasn't out and it was my escape to my very sad and grey world. So thank God , it existed for a while!

Wow, I can't imagine if there were no buffy! I feel like I grew up with her. If there were no buffy, we wouldn't have all those great "catch phrases" and "witty jokes". Buffy really has a little bit of everything. Vampires, Love, Fun, Fighting, and Spike.

No Buffy means no Angel and I don't like that idea at all. Hmmmmm. Without it I would probably have found something else to collect and spend my money on. Oh wait. I have. I also collect Neon Genesis Evangelion figures too, not the robots, just the cute red head and blue??? haired one. So I am twice as screwed as you guys. ;D ps. I still collect the Buffy stuff too. I just won a PF Buffy on ebay for $230. Well pleased.

That's so cute, Arno! I didn't know that Buffy was such a respite for you before you were out. I'm so glad that it supported you emotionally. That's awesome. It can be a lonely world, can't it? Sometimes TV is very therapeutic. Back when I was dealing with a very dark period of my life, the show Xena actually helpled me find the powerful side of myself and get in touch with my repressed anger. I used to beat on my punching bag while watch Xena's fight scenes. How goofy is that? But it helped me a ton!
