Ok, don't throw things! But, I absolutely love Dawsons- still! The funny thing is, I never started watching it until the night of the series finale! The showed the pilot and then the series finale. I thought that was a pretty clever thing to do. And I was totally hooked after watching them. I needed to go back and fill in the blanks in the interim years. So, I caught the re-runs and then bought all the DVD's. Season 6 was tough.. but there were a few interesting episodes. Of course, I had heard about the whole Dawson, Joey, Pacey triangle. But, I thought the show was going to be a teen soap. Which it is ultimately. But, the shows were generally so well written about the teen and college years that I could find lots to relate to. Just what I discovered about Buffy (at Season 3) as well. Can't believe I didn't watch these shows when they were first on! Where was in the late 90's???
And the whole who will Joey choose thing, really grabbed me. Although, I could have killed all 3 of them at one time or another for some of their stupid romance defeating moves. Joey's inertia really drove me nuts at times. But, it just really captured the romance and confusion of that time of life. The whole soulmate issue, etc...
So anyone want to dish... Favorite episodes? Pacey or Dawson?

OMG! I totally loved this show. I did loose a little touch with it as they went to college.
The love triangle with Dawson, Pacey, and Joey was really handled well. Not too much angst but also realistic because I saw it happen with my friends from school. My favorite couple was Andie and Pacey. She really helped Pacey grow and gave him confidence. I thought it was really lame on how Pacey and Joey broke up.
One thing I did really enjoy was the evolution of the relationship between Joey and Dawson. Childhood friends, to lust filled teens, to a couple, to being ultimately soul mates/best friends. A completed circle. I loved seeing how their friendship was always tested and pushed to the point of them being completely out of each other's lives but they always came back to each other.
I will admit, I think Dawson was the best character. After the entire series, he showed the most growth.

I love Dawson's Creek.
I bought the 1-6 boxset, and watched it all with my sister, who loved it. It was weird watching them all again, as I hadn't seen some of them for years!
My favourite character is Jen, and I'm a sucker for the season finales.

Show has been over for almost four years, but I'm putting a spoiler warning here anyway. *The following post contains SPOILERS. Parental discretion is advised.*It's all about Pacey/Joey, yo! When Pacey kissed her in Double Date, I knew I wanted them to end up together. Can't really explain why, though it's not surprising as I usually find myself rooting for the less popular ships(*ahembuffy/rileyahem*). And I'm glad they finally did end up together, because I thought Pacey treated Joey better than Dawson ever did. Dawson, to me at least, never seemed to really care what made her happy just as long as he had her and not Pacey or someone else. Selfish much? Characters. Loved Pacey and Andie. Jack was a really great character. And I love Jen, but the poor girl could never catch a break. Just when you think she's going to get something good going in her life, something else comes along and screws it up. Dawson was hit or miss with me. I think he only really started to bug me when, again, Joey got together with Pacey. Hated his character through most of that time. Started to like him again in season five and I think he fully redeemed himself after his soul mate conversation with Joey in "...Capeside Redempion". I also really like Dawson's parents quite a bit. I found myself really interested in Mitch and Gale's story during the first few seasons. Their trying to work things out and then the divorce, then getting back together. That was all very interesting to me and I sometimes wished a little more attention was given to that particular arc as it was a nice break from whatever angsty, over dramatic thing the kids were going through at the time. Favorite episode would have to be the Finale, hands down. I loved that they gave you a glimpse into the lives of the group as full-fledged adults. Jen's death was so heartbreaking, especially that she left behind her daughter. But Jack getting to take her was absolutely great and so fitting after the relationship he Jen shared. An incredible episode and a perfect ending to the series. And wouldn't you know that the guy would be the one with the most to say about the show so far.

What happened to the actor who played Pacey? I liked him. He had a lot of charisma.
Didn't he have some kind of big drinking/partying problem. Does anyone know what he's doing now?

I think that Josh Jackson (Pacey) did a few "B" movies after Dawson most notably "The Skulls" and a Horror movie about werewolves (I can't remember the name) with Christina Ricci but not much else. I really liked Josh Jackson he had great pressence. I wish he would have done other things.

It really looked like Josh Jackson was going to be the "break out" star of the show. He was in a bunch of horror flicks : Scream 2, Urban Legend and that Wes Craven werewolf flick Scotty mentioned- Cursed. He was also in Cruel Intentions with SMG and Gossip with Kate Hudson. But after, Dawsons he kind of dropped out of sight. Now, I just read he's in the cast of Bobby the movie by Emililo Estevez and the cast is nominated for a SAG award! So maybe, he's back into it again.
I always liked his portrayal of Pacey. And his natural charm made Pacey much more likable when he was being a jerk during some of the early episodes. Frankly, I thought the acting across the board on Dawson's was really good-especially during the early seasons. Some of my favorite episode moments: When Joey is the beauty contest and sings so well- Dawson finally recognizes how beautiful she is and begins to see her as more than a buddy That first kiss between Dawson and Joey... awww.. The Pacey-Joey verbal sparring before their inevitable fall for each other Dawson's drunken 16th Birthday fiasco The episode where Joey tries to tell Dawson about Pacey but can't seem to and then he finds out and confronts them.. the scene where Dawson falls to the ground sobbing just guts me everytime... I think that's the moment when I became a Dawson/Joey shipper.... don't throw things... more to come......

I am watching the College season as it is being re-run on sky. Is this the last season, where they flash to the future?

I am watching the College season as it is being re-run on sky. Is this the last season, where they flash to the future? Only the season finale is when they flashed forward to the future. Which was kind of funny because the actors just played the characters as their real life age LOL So no special make up or wigs to make them look older.

Oh so I am watching season 5. Jen and Dawson have just got together, Jack has moved into the Sorority house, Pacey is going to stay in Boston working as a trainee Chef and is madly flirting with the brilliant Audrey, and Joey has snogged Charlie, who I believe shagged Jen, and then dumped her. Thanks guys!
