Definitely an oldie and a goodie!
Due South follows the exploits on Constable Benton Fraser (Paul Gross) of the RCMP who on the trial of his father's murderer arrives in Chicago with pet deaf wolf Diefenbaker in toe. Fraser teams up with street wise and somewhat lax Chicago PD officer Ray Vecchio (David Marciano). Due to circumstances Fraser stays in Chicago and the series then goes on to explore the relationship between the two officers and the cultural differences between the US and Canada.
It was shown over in the UK on BBC1 and later BBC2. Indeed funding from the BBC ensured that Due South ran for seasons 3 and 4 (though these ran far shorter than the normal 24 episode run).
Every week I had fun, the comedy was great, and who could not love Diefenbaker?

omg thank you SOO much for reminding me of this classic programme!!
I had totally forgotten about it! amazing!!!
Me and my sister used to watch it all the time...I dont remind the episodes that much as I was a lot younger and it was a while ago but I do remember an episode involving some kind of body in a freezer...dunno why it stuck with me lol. Maybe I have an unconcious phobia of walk in fridges or something..who knows.
But anyways....yep it was a great show and that dog was just the cutest.

Stakey - what a shame ITV3 have just finished devoting 12 hours to Due South. Though I forgot and have only caught from 4:30 pm onwards!
