I never even heard about it til somebody mentioned figures for it. I didn't think it was half bad. Why didn't get that much press about it?

When was this show done? Is it a British show?
My ex-husband used to love a Robin Hood show back in the early 90s. Is that the one?

This new "modern" Robin Hood has just finished over here. Although its been recommissioned for series 2, reviews have been mixed.
Personally, I do believe the credibility of an ass-kicking Marion and the series over here had such hype it was a real let down. Shoddy sets, dodgy acting and Keith Allen has been having a ball though. I gave up after episode 3.
You can give me the 1980's ITV Robin Hood anytime!

"I am Herne The Hunter, and you are a leaf driven by the wind." Right! Just joined this forum! Robin Hood. Well, one of the greatest series was "Robin Of Sherwood" in the early 1980s.. There were no tights, or phony English accents or floppy swords, etc. This was a dark, gritty show with a mix of the occult which gave it an edge. "Robin" also had a beautifully haunting soundtrack by the Irish band Clannad. The acting was top-notch along with the action and great storylines. Michael Praed was the definitive Robin Of Loxley who was later succeeded by Jason Connery's Robert Of Huntington. The rest of the cast were brilliant along with one of Swaggrrman's favorite actors Ray Winstone. Any of you who have not seen this show should get to it! Acorn Media is just releasing it on dvd for the states... Cheers! "There was a voice.." "And what did this voice say?" "Nothing's Forgotton, Nothing Is Ever Forgotton"

This weekend I watched a mini marathon of BBC's Robin Hood (on BBC America) and I really like this show. I especially like Jonas Armstrong's charismatic portrayal of Robin and the chemistry he has with Marion (Lucy Griffiths). The actor who plays the Sheriff (Kieth Allen) is absolutely fantastic in his ruthlessness; a perfect villain. Unfortunately they have only released 5 episodes from season 1...I can not wait to see the rest. (I would buy the DVD set but the entire series 1 DVDs aren't available here until this season finishes on BBC America in June)
