Hey all, Just finished my latest custom (and first custom of ‘07), Gunn from the Angel S2 episode “First Impressions” He was made from a MAC ‘Angel’ human Angel, and Lex Luthor head. He comes with an alley stand as base, and that classic hubcap axe as an accessory. He retains articulation in his wrists and legs only, with minimal movement in his left bicep. He is for sale, for £25 plus postage. PM me if interested. I started this Gunn custom a little while ago, and with the rumoured cancellation of the regular line, I felt compelled to finish him. I experimented with dry brushing and washes with this custom, which I usually avoid, but I’m surprisingly really pleased with it; particularly with the red colour. I used a little artistic licensing with the axe, because I kept breaking it whilst trying to assemble it. So the final piece is a little off in accuracy, but fairly sturdy, which again, I’m pleased with. It was assembled with components from a BY Spike shovel, DST Vamp Angel axe, and a MAC Buffy 2 axe. Again, with washes and drybrushed, to make it look more like metal. Sorry for the poor quality pics, I’ll attempt to get some more up tomorrow, in natural daylight. Thanks for looking, and comment if you wish

The sculpting is brilliant, especially the hoody - its very neat. The paint job is very neat too. Its very hard to get a true Gunn likeness because his face (to me) is fuller. I think you have chosen a good head though, and the paint job is very smooth, I would have thought you had bought him already painted. Great work Rick, its nice to see a Gunn custom since they are cancelling the line

I really like him. I can never see enough Gunn customs. I like his pose and the repaint is great! You really put a lot of depth and texture into his clothes. The Axe is cool, Great metal effect!

Rich, it's a great custom! Wonderful repaint and sculpting. Like said above though, it's hard to get a decent likeness with any action figures available. Maybe it could be fixed if you add on tiny tiny bit of sculptey on the nose. You could also make the lips a little fuller to get rid of that annoying Lex Luthor smirk!
