After much to-do and speculation it is official. ITV2 failed to renew their rights for Supernatural and from January 2010, Living will have exclusive rights for season 5 and any future seasons if they happen. ITV2 relinquished Supernatural for cost reasons since ITV are in financial issues and will be showing newly acquired The Vampire Diaries from January 2010. Living is already re-running seasons 1-4. This means that in recent months, Living has acquired both Medium and Supernatural. The outcome is, if you have cable or Satellite subscriptions you see the show, if you are on a budget and cannot afford either you have no way to see the show until it is released on DVDs. This joins an ever growing list of shows, snapped up by satellite or cable stations: Prison Break, Lost and House to Sky, Medium and Supernatural to Living. Plus others I cannot think of at present. I am so mad over this and as a matter of course feel like boycotting ITV2. Who ever let this happen should has his rear end thoroughly kicked.
