Got back and had a fantastic time! ;D I felt the show was much quieter then previous Saturday's I have been. A few guests were packed, others not so much.
First up was my photo shoot with Michael Rosenbaum. I was the first one because of my Gold Pass. Michael was really nice, spotted my name on my pass, gave me a hug in the shoot and told me that my hair tickled his neck. Bless. ;D
On the auto side my first was Mercedes McNab, who was as always amazingly gracious and is such an awesome individual. She loved working on Supernatural and had nothing but nice things to say about Jensen and Jared. She also remembered me from Memorabilia 3 years ago.
I then moved on to Amber Benson, who remembered me and mom from Nostalgia and Comics last year. She is such a sweetie and has had her hair cut shorter and streaked, it looks nice, and she is so thing now. I was never on to think she was a big girl but now she looks like a wind would blow her over. Amber also loved working on Supernatural and said that Jensen and Jared were so sweet and super cute, and she was surprised how genuinely nice they were given how some folks in the business can be jerks (wonder who she was talking about?). Super lady, who also loved the bloodied variant I had of her pieceworks card from SPN: Connections to sign.
When I later had my photoshoot with Amber, I second in the queue and she greeted me with "It's Victoria!" which was fantastic. ;D
Moreena Baccarin was fine, she was pleasant enough but did not go above and beyond. I did not expect much from her and so was not disappointed. She has a role in Numb3rs coming up. Oh and watch out, she tried to steal my Sharpie!
Mark Sheppard was awesome, a self confessed "talk the hind leg of a donkey", top bloke, really there about talking to the fans and was enthusiastic about being in Dollhouse.
Craig Fairbrass was okay, I was slightly disappointed given how he had humble roots being a British actor who started in London's Burning and it was Sly Stallone who picked him and helped carve a path in Hollywood (a couple of films and a role in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles does not mean you have cracked Hollywood though.), friendly enough I suppose but a touch arrogant.
Danny Webb was awesome! Danny had been a favourite of mine for years, he has had so many roles on the BBC and in films as a supporting actor, I could never understand why he did not make it further. Alien3 is probably his most wide known role. Danny was gracious and genuinely touched I had nice things to say to him and I had been a fan for so long. Bless his heart he is an angel.
Finally, Mr Michael Rosenbaum! Michael has been the busiest of the day. The guy is genuinely nice and down to earth, I was worried he might be a bit like his portrayal of Lex but he is the other end of the spectrum. As it was my turn in his queue he greeted me with "It's my Princess Victoria!" (cue near fainting ). He said being on Smallville felt more like 7 minutes than 7 years and thanked me for watching. Nice to see him with hair, and it is such dark hair too, I thought it might be a dark blond but it isn't. Though he did look a touch odd with hair. LOL! BTW, Michael had no posed pictures, so the ones I got of him had to come from the queue.
The show is moving venues for "political reasons" and will now be in the Stadium:MK the home of the Dons. Will see what that is like in June. Am surprised they are missing the big May Bank Holiday show, but never mind.
Shopping wise picked up some Indy figures and Peter from Heroes figures, was happy as they were cheaper than I had seen locally and then got around through the crowds to the other part of the stall holders on to find them cheaper, but never mind. There you go folks, look and then buy. Also bought a SPN collage which I like a lot. That was it mainly. Saw a few Buffy figures and the T1 Darla's and Wesley's but not a lot there and prices were average. Oh, I saw a mini-Slayers scythe I was going to get until I saw the price, £25. Evil seller.
So, my feet hurt, I am tired but happy.
Here is Michael and me: okay so the hair thing, I spent all of last night rollering it, I had nice soft curls this morning without an ounce of frizz so what happened cos this is not the hair I had this morning! I so tried.
Here is my signed stuff minus the FireFly DVD box and Serenity inlay card which Moreena signed for me.
