Here is the first look at one of the commissions that I am currently working on. This drawing Features the lovely Jennifer Connelly as she looked when she appeared as Jenny in Walt Disney's " The Rocketeer" I plan to do this drawing in an Art Deco style that is reminiscent of "The Classic Hollywood" style of the 1940's This scan represents the right hand side of the drawing. On the left side of the drawing will be my interpetation of the Rocketeer Illustraition that was used in the original movie promo poster. as always constructive comment and feedback are appreciated, so Please let me know what you think ;D

That is simply amazing Seeing that sure brought a smile to my face. I sure needed that after a rough week I flew to my brother's wedding earlier in the week and it was great but later on I got the news that my aunt passed away so I had to deal with the loss. I was at the burial yesterday and found it difficult to accept the fact that she is gone... Im all messed up cause I went from a happy moment to a sad one in the course of a week

Thanks everyone for the Awesome comments! Max I am so glad that you are pleased with the progress so far ;D Here is the next update for the Rocketeer drawing... I have finished laying out the Rocketeer portion of the drawing and have started blocking in the color on Jenny's portrait. This is only the first and second layers of color added to the portrait; so the portrait still has a ways to go before it is finished. Originally I was going to do the portrait in Black and white with just a hint of color (reminiscent of Frank Miller's Sin City) but after studying several glamor shots of Classic Hollywood celebrities of the 1930's and 1940's (most notably Jean Harlow and Rita Hayward) I decided to try to do the portrait of Jenny in that style instead. I believe that this style with compliment the over all Art deco "Rocketeer movie" feel I am trying to achieve. as always constructive comments and feedback are always appreciated so Please let me know what you think

I have finished the Rocketeer Jenny drawing. This drawing was commissioned by Pedro and he asked me to infuse the Disney Art Deco movie poster with the 1940's style glam shot of Jennifer Connelly. I really enjoyed exploring the Art Deco style of Hollywood's Golden Era. As Always constructive comments and feedback are welcomed and appreciated...so Please let me know what you think. ;D This Drawing was done as a fan Tribute to a wonderful Motion Picture. The Rocketeer and all characters and designs are property of the Walt Disney company and their respective owners. I claim no ownership
