Of Scotty's work:
John LOVED the print. He was doing the rush through signings thing, and when I placed Scotty's print down he took a look and went that's nice and then I said, "Glad you like it because that is for you. The artist Scotty Swoveland is a friend and when he heard about the con he sent this over for you, as well as a few prints to be signed for special folks." At this point he was okay cool, so then I add "I'd like to say Scotty is not a professional artist, although his work looks like it, he has a regular job and does this as his past time and he is a big fan of yours."
THAT got John's attention, he looked up at me fully and said "Wow! This guy isn't a professional? WOW! Thank you so much for bringing it and thank Scotty." Then to his staff, "Hey, look at this, how cool, guys store that safe and make sure it doesn't get creased or folded." Then to me again, thank you. And he signed the prints and I was rushed off.
The whole scene took less than a minute probably, but John loved the print and Scotty's work.
I also carefully taped a note to the back of the print and detailed how Scotty's work was showcased on here, with details of how John could get in contact with Scotty is he wanted to.
