best cartoon ever ;D IMHO I just love Homer, he's so funny (and we share the love for Donuts ...) I have some seasons on DVD but sadly not all yet can't wait for the new episodes

I stopped liking the Simpsons, and I can tell you the exact episode:
The Lisa being Evita episode.
It broke my heart, and I haven't watched an episode since.

Spill Gerry...
Well, over here we keep having like 3 seasons being repeated over and over and over again, first on BBC2 and now on Channel 4. Case in question, Friday night, Homer has crayon extracted from his nose. This is at least the 5th time its been on.
Seriously, the copy right info at the end of the show is like 1994 or something its ridiculous. Suppose this is what happens when you cannot afford Sky TV.
Moan aside, Homer is not only my idol but a true humanitarian, okay he may not be Einstein but by gollie he has a heart. I also love Maggie.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_President_Wore_PearlsIt's hard to explain. But for me it felt like this episode dipped into petty sarcasm rather than the witty satire Simpsons always had before. It was the turning point to where they started to appeal to the lowest common denomimater rather the respect their audience as reasonably smart. And Homer really wasn't part of the episode, but rather than leave him out, they threw him in doing something completely stupid for no reason.

My husband and I used to be Simpsons fanatics. We had the books, the comics, and Krusty and Ralphie paraphenalia.
We even named our cat Schmoikel, after Krusty the clown's real name, Herschel Schmoikel Krustofski.
I never liked Homer. I've always found him irritating. But I enjoyed the seoncdary characters, like Mrs. Krabapel, Ralphie, Apu, Disco Stu, etc. Somewhere along the way we just burned out on it, luckily both at the same time. I thin kit was Simpsons overload. Shows like South Park and the Family Guy have more edge and better, satire, imo.
Anyway, I was definitely a Simpsons fan for about 11 years, which is a long time! It broke tons of new ground, had both obvious and more subtle humor, and has lasted a helluva long time.

Aw, I heart Homer, but I heart Peter Griffin more.
I love how on the simpsons they can be discussing a problem with a character, and the character that started the problem will say something like "Well Let me explaine...YOINK" and they would just take off. LMFAO that's the best

I used to watch the Simpsons when I was younger on daily basis. Now I watch it far less, but still haven’t been a single episode that didn’t make me laugh. Definitely one of the best shows ever…no wonder it’s lasting so long.

I love the Simpsons. I have watched just about every episode and have Seasons 1-9 on DVD so far. I have been watching Season 9 the past few days and have been laughing histerically at Homer and Ralph. Ralph is so just so stupid sometimes and Homer is just so funny, some of the odd things that he comes up with.
