Hello.
Right well me and a friend who isnt actually a member of this board have been joint writing a buffy fan fic (set in season 3)...so I thought Id give little preview of the intro.
Love to hear what you guys think so far.....obviously we have written more than this but as I said its just a preview.
So the credit doesnt all go ot me as the joint writer really is a superb writer and we are having great fun collaborating.
So without further ado...The Narcissus Effect preview:
“Okay, so…”
The darkness was almost overwhelming; each looming passageway holding secrets to what lay ahead, the sea of black within each giving no hint to what lay further down.
“Which one?” Willow’s panic was understandable as the war cries of numerous demons erupted behind them.
“We are so dead…” Xander muttered blackly as he turned to look at Buffy; with an expression on his face to urge her decision on. He could tell by the rhythmic nods of her head she was chanting ‘eni meani myni mo’ as she tried to pick which passageway to continue on through.
Giles, growing as desperate and impatient as those half his age, flung out his arm – pointing to the cavern on the far left;
“I say we go through here… now!”
The demons’ hunger for blood was getting more apparent the closer they got, and the Scooby Gang started forwards for the passageway, making tracks in a way in which they were (by now – damn that Buffy) accustomed.
“I advise that… you do not… look back!” Giles panted as he led the way; and it seemed as though everyone silently agreed as they broke into a dash. Call it ESP, call it Slayer-Sense, whatever…
“I wish you guys had warned me we were frigging’ demon hunting…! ‘Cause for your information, dresses… not the best fighting gear!” Cordelia yelped, her accent catching every accentuation even as she struggled onwards; attempting to pull her knee length dress up to give her legs some room to run as fast as she would have, given the situation she had found herself in, desired them to.
Buffy, sprinting flat out (came with the territory), looked wildly over her shoulder to see Cordelia lagging, a look of determination and yet near-defeat on her face. She rolled her eyes and ran back, hand outstretched for Cordelia to take.
She wasn’t risking Cordelia blaming her for her new dress getting wrecked.
“Hurry up! We need to get outta here!” The Slayer pleaded, stretching her slender fingers further still as the brunette reached out for her hand.
Too late.
