I watch this series as well and i actually think i like this season better than the last one, i can't really say why but usually i watched it more because nothing else was on, now i really look forward to it and watch it every week.
I really hope they won't kill Melinda's husband, i don't really miss Andrea much and i think her death was done very well. But i don't want to see another original cast member go.

The played a new episode of Ghost Whisperer this week. It was Camryn Manheim-centric. What a major annoyance. She is so dislikeable on this show! She's self-righteous, close-minded and full of denial. What really makes me mad is how nasty she was to Melinda. Yet, she barely apologized for it when she had proof that her husband's ghost was there. She just said that she couldn't deal with such things.
Ick. She makes my skin crawl. I wish she'd take those ugly 12 earrings out of her ear. I mean, does every character she plays have to have those earrings? She wore them in the Practice. OK, she made it part of the character, since the character was a bit rebellious and unorthodox. But to keep wearing them as every character she plays is just annoying. They are such an unusual adornment. Seems like she'd make an effort to at least be true to her characters. She plays a very serious widow and single mother. The length of earrings down her ear just distract from the character, instead of seeming like an extension of the character.
I Know that's just a small irritation, but she just bugs me in general. I miss Andrea! Now Andrea was a great friend, who accepted Melinda just as she is and was even excited about her ability to talk to the dead.
Melinda was too forgiving, IMO. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

Last night was the first in a three episode arc that will end in the season finale.
They are dealing again with the problem of the ghosts who are being encouraged to shun the light and not cross over.
Some actor who used to be on General Hospital (kind of a cutie) plays another ghost whisperer with powers like Melinda's, but he uses his powers to convince ghosts to hang out in limbo. The goal that he presumable shares with the laughing man and the ghost of the former cult leader in the black hat is to have more and more ghosts stay earth bound to increase the power of the ghosts. Dr. Payne's dead wife said that they want to make the ghosts more powerful than the living.
That was a pretty huge reveal for a story that has been going on since close to the beginning of the show.
It looks like they are planning lots of exciting stuff for the next two weeks and a cliffhanger ending. I still hope and pray that Melinda's husband doesn't die.
Jay Mohr did a pilot. If it doesn't get picked up, he will be upgraded to series regular next season.
In other news, Cameron Manheim's character was way less annoying this week. She was even nice to Melinda about the ghost stuff, which is a major turnaround for her.
