What show did/do you watch that you never tell anyone about?
Recently while house sitting, I got hooked on the new night soap opera called Fashion House. Fashion House was an American telenovela about the owner of the fashion line lying and stealing to protect her company from take over. OMG, it was horrible with incredible over acting. It was nightly so they used a lot of the footage from the night before for flashbacks and on Saturday night they would show a summary ep. Itwas just so additing to see who was getting screwed with in each ep. Thank goodness the show is designed to be 65 eps long.

Eva, this is such a great idea for a thread!
I have tons of guilty pleasures.
I think the worst one by far is Flava of Love, parts I and II.
I just couldn't look away. I love to watch that New York. She's hilarious. In general, it's such an interesting show, um, sociologically. I mean, who ACTS like that?
I also have gotten into the Surreal Life and the first season of Breaking Bonaduce.
Xena was also a show that I didn't tell too many people I liked, since I'd usually get eye rolls.

Xena rules!! ;D For me Gilmore Girls and Desperate Housewives are guilty pleasures...I'm fully aware how these shows more intended for female audience but I still like them. Besides, I've got a soft spot for strong women.

Xena and Hercules... Right up until the dodgy singing episodes because they were pulled by Channel 5! I have never seen the ends of these series *sigh*.

Besides, I've got a soft spot for strong women. But Lior, there are some really strong male characters on that show, like Luke and, uh, uh, well LUKE! Plus, it's incredibly well-written, so it doesn't have to be a guilty pleasure. I've heard it's actually a pretty macho set with all the guys playing lots of sports and being competitive, and stuff.

It's really bizarre. She creates all these weird scenarios, then comes out and breaks up with people for their significant other or friend.

I know what you mean, but the main theme of those shows are: GG: Mother-Daughter relationship DHW: The much complicated lives of housewives. Obviously those would have strong men characters but still, rest of the world sees it as "Chick's shows"... But I really don't care, I like those show for the amazing writing, fantastic characters and well, strong women.

I think that in the last ten years we've seen much stronger, more well-rounded female characters on TV. I think that Xena was one of the first shows to really have a strong female friendship with true intimacy. Personally, I never thought that it mattered if Xena and Gabrielle were lovers or not. They were two very different, strong women with very well-developed characters.

Xena and Hercules... Right up until the dodgy singing episodes because they were pulled by Channel 5! I have never seen the ends of these series *sigh*. They pulled the series because of the musical episodes?!?! I'm outraged! Actually, I think the Bitter Suite musical was amazing. It was much stronger as an episode than OMWF on Buffy. It was the first Xena episode that I ever saw, and I was instantly hooked. The second musical was pretty lame. I was very disappointed with that one. I hope you'll check out the DVDs for the rest of the series some time. Personally, season 5 was my favorite. I wasn't at all happy with the series finale, and I didn't like the slapstick comedy episodes at all, but I really loved that show.

hmm.... i'll have to (sadly) say, Laguna Beach! I never watched it, but it was on randomly when i was home in the past few weeks, so i said what the heck, let's try it! and OMG watching all that drama is so addicting! lol. In that same theme, bad MTV shows like "Next" and "date my mom" are hilarious fun to watch. So fake, but funny!

Charmed.
No friend of mine shall ever know. It's hard to hide those MOC figures, though. They're high up enough so that you can't see the logo. You just have to hope that nobody recognizes the names of the girls themselves...
If they do, I tell them I only watch it for Rose McGowan. Which is true.
