Here is an in progress look at one of several drawings that I am currently working on. This drawing features Kristen Bell as Elle from the second season of "Heroes" I was inspired to do this drawing after seeing the comic book version of Elle from the TV Guide cover that was drawn by artist Michael Turner. I loved the pose and attitude and thought the drawing captured Elle's character perfectly. I wanted to draw the same thing as a realistic portrait Here is the TV Guide Cover... here is the first in progress scan of the drawing. I still have to work out a lot of fine details and smooth a few rough edges. as always constructive comments and criticisms are welcomed and appreciated so Please let me know what you think (good or bad)

The menace on her face is great. Much more detailed and introspective than the source.
My only suggestion would be to change her clothing to make it your own.

Thanks for the Awesome comments! The menace on her face is great. Much more detailed and introspective than the source. My only suggestion would be to change her clothing to make it your own. I appreciate the suggestion and I did indeed consider changing it but here is the reason that I decided not to change it. The clothing shown is the outfit that Elle wore when she made her first appearance on Heroes. It is also Elle's most recognizable look from the show. I will make the jacket more realistic in the finished drawing If you notice in the episodes where Elle has appeared she wears variations of the same style outfit... The other outfit variation is the coat with a black, low cut, blouse underneath. I will give the black blouse another look, but I really like the gray/blue striped shirt that she wore in her first appearance. First appearance outfit... Here is the variant outfit...

I love how you took inspiration from the pose in the comic style and made it look like Kristen Bell. That works so well! You've made it so seamless, which amazes me, since you didn't have a posed photo to copy from.
The likeness is perfect. I love the mischievious look on her face. This is going to be amazing, with the lightning bolts and everything.
Beautiful work, Scotty!

Here is an update for the Elle Drawing. In this update I have blocked in Kristen Bell's portrait and have started blocking in the background. I still need to add Electricity highlights to the hair, face and body...which will be done as the drawing progresses. as always constructive comments and criticisms are welcomed and appreciated so Please let me know what you think ;D
